Anyone noticed how each of the families on OMR, the Ohs, the Parks, and the Suhs each represent an archetype. The Ohs represent the wealthy but cursed family (unhappy marriages, tragic death, meddling relatives, dysfunction in general) who think they can negotiate the world with their money (Mr. Oh and Granny both offering Hye Ran money). The Parks are the poor mousey family whose virtue lies in a beautiful, yet suffering, daughter who fell in a love with a rich guy from a dysfunctional family. Unusually cruel tragedy for simple folk. The Suhs I think are made out to be the model family. One daughter marries the Oh family (controversial) heir-apparent. The other daughter, a single divorced mother, finds love in the capable hands of a subordinate (her personnel manager must be tearing his/her hair out! ;D), marries him, invests in her mother-in-law (Madam Church Mouse aka HR & HS' Mom)'s fledgling restaurant business, has her husband move in to the family home, have her daughter call him "Dad," and son-in-law gets up at the crack of dawn to join Big Daddy in the kitchen and make breakfast for the entire family, to the delight of an appreciative Mrs. Suh, senior! Hmmm, I smell something fishy here and it ain't the corvina sitting on the hibachi!
