Can't help you yet, I think we are barely going to be watching Ep. 37 here in Chicago.

This reminds me--I don't want to be persnickety and/or exclusive, but it would be so great if everyone could bear in mind that this is a Chicago-based board and that other regions, such as California and Philadelphia, have their own message boards with current discussion of episodes. (After all, it does say at the top of the page that this is the "kbc28.tv fan club.") I don't mean for that to sound as if my tone is, "you have your own board, so go away." Far from it!! I don't mean at ALL to say that people from other regions shouldn't post here. It definitely adds to the fun to have people from all over discussing things with us. But I really don't want to worry about reading about episodes I haven't seen yet. I don't know how easy it is to keep in mind that California is some 10 eppies ahead of us on OMR, for example--probably not very easy. Maybe we could have some kind of grid that shows what programs are showing on WOCH-Channel 28 at the moment and what date they started? Then people from other areas could look at the date and see that they are either ahead of us or behind us. This would have the added benefit of warning people whose local stations are behind WOCH to be careful that they might read something they don't want to know yet. Just an idea.

I actually saw this happen in last night's episode. Different circumstances though.
The Oh's are at dinner. After Mijoo's ballet recital, the other family, the Suh's (Yu-jin's parents) go to dinner with Mi-joo and there they see Soon-young and Inhwan. If I remember correctly, it was Yu-jin's dad who calls Min-jae's mom sister-in-law.
Why this is, I have no idea. I wonder if they will explain it later on.

I think at the very beginning of 1MR, it was mentioned that Mal-bong (Yu-jin's mother) is like a daughter to the mean granny or that granny thinks of her as a daughter...something like that...That is probably the reason Yujin's father adresses Min-jae's mother as sister-in-law.

Maybe it is just a custom of speech, like the way young women call male friends 'Oppa' - 'Older Brother'.

Maybe it is just a custom of speech, like the way young women call male friends 'Oppa' - 'Older Brother'. Somehow I don't think so. You know how the older generation is about someone calling them by their first name, so I don't think they would favor someone referring to them as an in-law. Especially since Malbong isn't too happy about Yu-jin liking Min-jae. But I could be wrong, we'll see.
