Well, you made me laugh, anyway.
I was just looking at Ep 33 (34?) where Yu-Gin phones her dad from China to tell him to call off the deal because "they" are so "laid back" making costs go up--presumably, she's talking about the Chinese and she might be using "laid back" as a euphemism for unreliable, or even (gasp) lazy. She's relieved to say she has a good guide who's Korean-Chinese. I just giggled a little thinking about our discussions about "cultural differences."

You may be right. I had a longtime Chinese girlfriend (born in Hong Kong) who refused to work at any Japanese company. She said the Japanese all work like "crazy people" (in other words, they all work too hard . . .).
I agree that the Chinese can be rather laid-back at times, more so then some of the other Asian peoples. But I think that's part of their charm.
