I cannot believe Minjae's mom. She always always always looks out more for HK than for her own son! I'd leave and never come back if I was MJ! Especially how it ended yesterday, something about protecting HK's happiness . His happiness will cause your son terrible heartache, get it through your head. I really have no respect for her. Even her husband looked shocked when she made that comment. I think it was a really good episode, the best one I've seen yet. MJ looked undeniably angry/sad/heart-broken. I can't wait for tonight's episode. I really don't like HK and Hyeran, they are both a couple of backstabbers.

I feel sorry for the mom. I think the reason she wants to protect HK's happiness is that he is finally (after 20 years) acting like a son to her and she doesn't want that to change again. I think she knows that MJ didn't have a chance with Hye-ran and she remembers how it was for her to love a man and not be able to be with him. We can't help our feelings. I do, however, agree with you about the 2 "lovebirds" both being traitors. Even if they realized that they can't live without each other, they could have waited until MJ came back and talked to him before they started. He would have still felt bad but not as betrayed as he feels now. And I can't wait until Hye-ran's mom finds out. I have a feeling she is going to be more than a bit upset at the news of this romance.

I thought it was appaling how MJ's mom took HK's side! I never really liked her (too spineless) but this episode made me hate her ! And the only redeeming qualities of HR and HK are the fact that they do understand how much they are hurting MJ, and they seem to feel bad about it, although that hasn't stopped them! Other than that, their "love story" is just irritating. I won't be happy with this pair until MJ hooks up with Yu-jin!

well, think of this from her point of view. she married the man she was destined to be with, although there were quite a few obstacles, but only to be welcomed by people that showed the utmost resentment towards her. she never felt part of the family and if she were to take her son's side in situations where hyun-kyu was obviously the bad guy, the big mean grandmother would get on her case and say that she married her son off to a money-grabber. and jenny, i so agree with you on the whole yu-gin and min-jae idea. after years and years of waiting for hye-ran; a girl that didn't even care about the very existance of min-jae as a man, he should move onto someone who clearly has fallen for him.
