I see a lot of "thank yous" out there for Michael Han as translator (and someone I believe is called China Girl), but I don't really see anyone thanking the moderators on this board. (Yes, I know, Michael is one of the moderators, too, and I may just have missed the hundreds of accolades.) I have always thought this is a wonderful board and very well moderated. You guys participate in the discussions and are most fair and careful about when you step in and put a stop to things or just a word in to damp down the crazies. It's very pleasant here, and I think that's due in large part to your wise oversight. Thank you.
As a sidebar, I noticed under a post a few days ago that one of the moderators (Soju?) responded to someone who was laughing about a word in his post being 'censored' by the board; she said she could remove more censors if we wanted her to. I, for one, DO NOT want that. I think the censoring is exactly right. Some time ago, I was involved in a very funny discussion over the board censoring 'spoon' and 'Dick Cheney' and Soju (?) fixed it so we could say those things. I remember the atmosphere was one of hilarity, not anger--although it is nice to just say "spoon", we found clever ways to work around the problem--just as the people did in the more recent post. Although I've been known to use it on occasion in my daily life, I could go the rest of my life without seeing the "f-word" in print and never be unhappy. We get the idea, even without the words spelled out. I hope you keep things the way they are.

I think it's a credit to all who participate on this board, since we pretty much never see those substitutions for censored words.

What is "spoon"? Lucy (not signed in) I'll assume you are not joking, Lucy, and just missed this conversation. "Spoon" has "poo" in the middle of it, and the board was automatically making it "Sthingyn"--which we had a lot of fun with at the time. Bo
