Six more episodes of My Dearest remain, and we need another drama after that. So we'll try Mr. Sunshine. It comes highly recommended by people who have watched it, and it deals with a much more recent historical period that we've never dealt with here in the forum. So we'll try it. Just 24 episodes so it's not a massive commitment.
The only problem with doing it is that it's only available on Netflix. Most people seem to have Netflix subscriptions these days but if not then you'll have to sign up to watch the series. Basic access with ads is $7 per month, so not too bad. Without ads is $15.50 per month, which seems like a lot more--guess we'll have to see how many ads there are.
If the episodes are short enough we could always do two per week instead of one, to cut down on the subscription time. But let's see how it goes.
After we do Mr. Sunshine we'll do another one of the older dramas like we did with King of the Wind. And hopefully at some point in 2025 we'll get a new historical from KBS...but one thing at a time for now.
p.s. If you look around online you can find the series elsewhere for free. But I don't know if other sites are licensed to carry it, so you didn't hear this from me.

Five years ago, when my family and I were watching it, I would take the opportunity to drop historical trivia, particularly towards my siblings. My dad would drop some too.

I have Netflix, so watching this next would be fine with me
