Much better written episode this time. Again not much historical content but at least it was entertaining.
Still loving the idea of KG stumbling upon the truth about Seokkop...and now he’s keeping it to himself, what a good piece of writing. Now we follow along with him and know the secret that nobody else knows he knows.
“Both of my parents can’t read.” This is driving me nuts. Somebody to teach Dandan to read already.
Dugo: "Why did you hide in Gongja? That’s Baekje territory.” Um, no it wasn’t, not when they went there it wasn’t. It is now but it wasn’t then.
KG to himself: “You’ve saved my son. Thank you, Dandan.” Well there we go, finally somebody’s talking a little sense.
Yeomong: “Then who is buried there?” THANK you. There’s a question we’d like to have answered big-time. Another dose of sense.
Annoying Girl to KG: “The 54 statelets of Mahan are submissive to Baekje now. There must be some people who aren’t happy about that. Why didn’t you take guards with you?” Wow three in a row! Yes it was very stupid of him...but of course he has that long history of doing stupid reckless things like that.
Chimmi So, as in Sooooo annoying. Do we really need this kid around? But at least they’re teaching SOMEBODY to read.
Hey it’s Sayu! Almost forgot what he looked like, it’s been so long. Thought the writers had forgotten about him completely. Sheesh.
The narrated text:
“I would like to send Seokkop to Gomori.” That was hilarious! The three of them, KG knows and they don’t know he knows, and they’re all soooo busted. You can just see the wheels turning in his head, the way he was looking at them. Loved it.
“I said I’d go against Eoraha for the sake of Baekje. But that doesn’t mean I want Baekje to be taken by Goguryeo.” Wow even Jin Seung is talking sense. Something in the water all of a sudden?
“This marriage shouldn’t have taken place! I regret obeying your command and taking the princess as my wife.” And now Sa Gi talking sense, and he wins the grand prize. The whole forced-marriage storyline that I’ve been complaining about, it’s good to see it at least being put to use well. Another good idea in the writing.
“That can’t be. A horseshoe doesn’t fall off.” Well if it does, it certainly doesn’t cause the horse to rear up like that. Sorry but no.
Please tell me the Japanese girl isn’t wearing pink armor. Please. Good heavens.
The prince going into enemy territory to chase Sa Gi, he certainly has his father’s bad reckless personal judgment, doesn’t he.
Well that was a strange ending. Why would KG tell his wife about Seokkop? Of all people she’s about the worst one to tell. She’ll do nothing but cause trouble over it and make herself and everyone else miserable. And now we’re going to fall back into her being jealous and bitchy again. Hope we don’t see it; there’s a war coming, right?

The narrated text:
In year 362, Yan was facing internal and external troubles. After Murong Huang, Murong Jun and Murong Wei’s reign, there was chaos due to constant political upheavals. Yan was threatened by Qianqin, Rouyan and Dai. There was a need for a non-aggression treaty with Goguryeo.I wonder if there’s anything recorded in Chinese history to support this. Maybe there are better surviving sources from back then?
