Truth has pointed that the armor in this drama is alot closer to what the Baekje warriors of the past wore. It is depicted as being a combination of plate and scale armor. Here are some images of remnants of Baekje armor. ^Remains of iron plate armor. In a book about Korean archaeology, it's mentioned that armor similar to that of Yamato Japan was found in a tomb located at the Hansong area. I don't know if this is the one they're talking about though. Regardless, its said to be from 1600 years ago. ^ Replica of scaled armor made of iron and bone. Display is from the Hansong Baekje Museum. Remains of bone armor in Pungnap Earthen Fortress, a fortification at Hansong. ^Horse armor in the 7th century Pieces of black lacquered armor found in Gongsan Fortress, which was the castle Baekje's later capital after Hanseong, but these pieces are dated around mid 7th century, meaning the wearer was likely killed when Silla-Tang alliance attacked. What's written on it is 19th year of Zhenguan, meaning it was probably made during the 19th year of Li Shimin's reign as Tang Emperor (645AD). *Zhengguan is an era name* Artist Depictions of Baekje Warriors These are apparently from the Baekje Museum in Seoul and the official website of the Hanseong Baekje Festival. The artist who drew these decided to make the armors look similar to Goguryeo's.

Considering that Baekje was founded by migrants from the north (not to mention having archaeological artifacts that suggests exports from the north), it's probably not unreasonable to think their armor may have looked similar to Goguryeo's.
Since it would make it difficult to tell apart though, the drama obviously placed more emphasis on the plate armor.
