Oops So Sorry-- very, very, very poor choice of words. YES, Prince So did not kill Prince Eun. Please forgive me....... It was such an emotional scene-- with the recall of the birthday, Eun asking for a gift that only So could give him and then seeing So swing his sword---and Hae Soo having to watch it all. good thing I am liking this drama, because the emotions from so many people could make this very difficult to watch...... what an awesome drama.......

Episode 17
Okay, so the emperor is dead. And Prince Wook thinks he'll be the next emperor. But then he goes off to fetch his uncle or something. Really? Do you really want to be absent from the palace at this time when the throne is vacant?? Meanwhile Prince So, with the grand general and Prince Baek Ah, is all ready to take the palace by storm. But this doesn't happen. Why? Because Princess Yeon Hwa decides to ditch her brother and opens the palace gate for Prince So. She is some piece of work, I tell ya! And her mother the queen!! Wow!!
So now Prince So is the next emperor. And Hae Soo is hoping he will not be the "bloody monarch" with her by his side. I don't know cuz he ordered all those people who served under the previous emperor to be killed. That was really scary, that evil smile of his when he said all should be killed, and none be spared. I don't like this.
I have to say I felt sorry for Yo for the first time when he was dying. He said he was scared of being discarded by his mother too. And also when he said he finally realized how So must have felt all this time. The way he died was sad.
It was also sad when the grand general leaves So. And when Prince Baek Ah can no longer have a comfortable relationship with So.
Wow, when Wook smashed that bracelet -- that was something! Boy, is he a bitter man. And when he tells Princess Yeon Hwa she's going to be queen cuz no one should have everything... I'm really hoping he's proven wrong and So WILL get everything -- the throne and Hae Soo in marriage. (Inspite of the scar on her wrist!!!)
I'm really starting to hate Prince Jung. Why does he blame So for everything?
And now what's this with Hae Soo's health?? She's dying now?? I'm not liking all these new obstacles to So's happiness...

I think this is one of the reasons I hesitate to finish this drama, at this point I am pretty sure I will NOT like the way it will end. At first it had to do with Prince Wook-- hoping he would throw his family away and become a decent human being, his sister, Princess Yeon Hwa and his mother are unbelievable! I don't know why anyone would want to be King, turning on your brothers/family -- even Prince So who said he wanted to be King so no harm would come to his brothers and then the first thing he does is kill all those people who served under the previous emperor. I think Prince So should burn that throne and create a new one-- that throne must be posessed or somthing! Prince So's "evil smile" -- perfect acting! (Gotta say, his face is perfect is sooo many ways!) Each time a Prince dies, I get so sad-- it is so emotional to watch, each one in it's own way and Prince Yo's is no exception--you had to feel his pain when his mother throws him away in order to keep control. (I still can't beleive that Hae Soo stayed in the room, you would think she would run as soon as he started to fail, he could have hurt her at the begining and at the end, you would think someone would have accused her of poisoning or killing the King? I'm glad she stayed so he didn't die alone, but still, not a very safe thing for her to do!) I don't really get the whole thing with Prince Jung-- why is he so against Prince So. Did he side so much with Prince Yo, that he can't accept Prince So? I'm perplexed by Hae Soo illness. I was wondering if it is some kind of effect of the time travel? Maybe her body is just "breaking" down after being in this time period for too long-- I wonder if she will go back to her own time period before the end of the drama? Can't say if I am looking forward to the ending as much as I was before, things are sure going downhill in so many ways..

Episode 18 I actually watched this a few days back, but I was too upset to write up about it. I don't think I've ever been this upset over a K drama since I started watching about three years ago. First of all, what is wrong with Hae Soo? I just don't understand her. At first I felt so sorry for her when So ended up having to marry that witch Yeon Hwa. I wanted to kill YH for Soo. I cried when Soo stood in front of the mirror wearing the royal wedding robe, all alone in her room. I totally felt her pain. But. But. But. How can she be that way to So who is suffering so much?? How can she side with Jung regarding the queen mother instead of the man she loves?? Why did she send for Jung when So had distinctly said no one should? I'm not saying he was right but I'm saying she was wrong to send for Jung without trying to persuade So first. Doesn't she realize they're at a very delicate balance in their relationship? Didn't she say herself the only thing she's good for is being a comfort to him? Well, she's not being a comfort now. She can't possibly be doing this because she's mad at him for marrying YH -- she told him she would be okay. And besides his hands were tied, he really didn't have much of a choice. Regarding Chae Ryung: Okay, the way she died was horrible and it was stupid of So not to be more discreet. He should've done it in a way so that Soo didn't find out. Or at least in a way that she didn't witness it. But then maybe that was his way of getting back at her for taking Jung's side, who knows? But again I don't understand Soo at all here. Yes, I understand Chae Ryung was like a sister to Soo. But she was LIKE a sister, not her TRUE sister. And Chae Ryung was a spy and a liar. Soo seems to completely overlook this and again blames everything on So. She seems to be overly generous with her sympathy and understanding for everyone around her, EXCEPT FOR THE MAN SHE IS SUPPOSE TO LOVE AND SUPPORT!!! And the ending of the episode just about killed me. She "wants it"?? You gotta be kidding me!! I mean I know she won't be able to leave So at the end but to even say that she does!! Does Jung still have any power over the military? Is this gonna start a war? What is she doing?? She must be stark raving mad. I mean she's the one always saying to So not to harm any of the brothers, yet it looks like she's gonna cause a war between So and Jung, not to mention Wook. What is wrong with her? I am just so upset.

Ok, first of all: Sorry, Sorry, Sorry but I laughed when I read your post! I guess I am no better than the Princes when it comes to wanting revenge-- so there, that is what you get for wanting Hae Soo and Prince So together! I just can't beleive how much Prince So has changed since becoming King, I can see him having to marry YH in order to keep the peace between all the families, but to put Prince Jung in exile (wouldn't that mean he was no longer in charge of the armies, so Prince Jung couldn't start a war) Prince So wants his mother all to himself, but even though she is not eating or drinking anything, he keeps Jung away and so she dies-- just great work King! So, Prince So has killed people that helped the former KIng, banned his brother Jung from the Palace, let his mother die, -- wow, wonder what else he can do? Oh yeah, he can kill Chae Ryung in a really cruel way-- maybe thats the rule? You are a liar and a spy, so you get beaten? He couldn't hang her, or like you said, kill her in a more discreet way? Even if the other girls didn't watch her die, they would have known something was up when Chae Ryung just "disappears". Then, what does King So do next? Goes after Wook... yeah, maybe he was in charge of everything, although there was something said about the "former King" being involved. BUT I thought Prince So was all about SAVING his brothers??? It sure does not look like KING So is looking to save anybody! I'm sorry, but with all of the recent turn of events, I can't blame Hae Soo for wanting to leave, to me it was like being in a violent relantionship, the sooner you get the guts up to leave the better....... As I have said it almost every post, I wonder what will happen next? Wonder if anyone survives?

There's almost nothing you posted above that I agree with. There's like NOTHING that the emperor has done that's wrong. I think there's absolutely no reason for you to use that taunting tone of voice in describing So.
And I don't understand how you can laugh when someone is upset and suffering over her beloved character in a drama. I find that very strange.

Hey--- just kidding, I just wanted to say as upset as you are, I was just as upset at Wook's behavior and your comments about him. (at least I had your hubby in my corner) I think I was expecting something like this from the very beginng of this drama. With So and Hae Soo's character's being the main characters, the storyline being in the Palace, I just expected things to go wrong for these two from the very begining and maybe that is why I was hoping for Prince Wook and Hae Soo to get together-- something most people would not want to happen. Still think you will win in the end, and Hae Soo and King So will come to understand the situations around them and be more understanding in the end. (and I also spent about 20 minutes trying to add a SUJU "Sorry,Sorry,Sorry" clipart to my post, but I was able to do it and then tried to make it smaller, then it got deleted and could not figure out how to get it back into the post again)

I was actually hooked in this drama back when it was still airing but then after re-watching the series I don't think it was as good as how I thought it to be.
I didn't like the way the love story ended, it seems that they just wanted to make Wang So be all alone in the end so they had to send Haeso away and so make the ending sad and tragic, Haeso had to die without Wang so knowing about it.
I was really touched with the way Jung mourn for Haeso, it was really heartbreaking because he loves her but he also knew that she love someone else and when Wang so took her ashes away, the only thing he could hold on to is her hair pin it was so heart breaking.
The way the other ex-princess isn't that reasonable, she killed herself even though there are other ways to fix that problem *sigh*
I think I enjoyed the series up until Wang So became a king, after that, the story started to become boring and annoying.
The ending reminds me of the commercial for Empress Ki.

1)I didn't like the way the love story ended 2)I think I enjoyed the series up until Wang So became a king, after that, the story started to become boring and annoying. 1) Me neither! I was so traumatized I couldn't even post afterwards. Why do they have to make dramas so sad like that? I still somehow thought it was gonna be a happy ending, like she was gonna meet him in her world. Wouldn't it have been great if she got sick again, went to the hospital and there was Wang So as her doctor??!! Wow, that would've made me so happy. I was so disappointed when he didn't show up in her world... (Birdy, this is why I didn't respond to you. I was devestated with sad ending and didn't even feel like talking about it) 2) I kinda agree with you. I'll go even further and say the spice was gone once So took off his mask. But having said that I will still state this drama is one of the best I've ever watched.

But having said that I will still state this drama is one of the best I've ever watched. Ikr? I honestly didn't know what to feel about the ending, all I know is that it made me cry a lot because it was too sad - probably one of the saddest ending I've seen and it left me wanting more...for days I kept waiting and waiting for the news about the extra episode but sadly nothing happened. I think the ending would've been better if they let them meet up in the future. I think what's good about this drama is the way they let you get attached with the characters, it's like watching this little kids grow - they play and bicker and then one day you see them all grown up and plotting against each other...really sad to see them like that. This is one of the series that made me cry a lot for the supporting characters. I feel so sorry for Moo, he was such a gentle and kind brother and yet they betrayed him like that. Next is the Wang Yo's wife, she was such a good person so it was sad that she had to die without knowing that Wang Yo also loved her - but at least it made me understand why Wang Yo's greatest regret was about her. Wand Eun and his wife's death is what made me cry the most, probably because I saw him play around like a little kid, fell in love, wait for his first love, got married even though he didn't want to and grow up with his wife.... it's sad how they were planning to live together then see them begging for their life later on and die... This is one of the saddest drama I've ever watched and probably the one that made me cry the most, that's why I was hoping for a happy ending that never happened.
