Most of this episode, I didn’t care for it at all. Too much manufactured drama over this arrest/execution business. We all know he wasn’t executed so why string out this fictional silliness? Let’s get on with the real story, okay? Sheesh.
“I will take their flesh and blood and use them for fertilizer for my people.” Eeewwwww!
Although, admittedly, that does sound like something Bangwon would say, so...fair enough.
But saying he only killed his brothers for the sake of the people and felt absolutely terrible about doing it...hmmm...that does NOT sound like something he would say. Give credit, though: that scene with the king and crown prince in the throne room was great. Really well-acted.
This business about the carving on the stone star chart, replacing “geon” with “ib”...obviously there was no conspiracy plot associated with it but does anybody know if the change was actually made, for whatever reason (presumably to show respect to Wang Geon)? Or is this baloney too?
Hey Jeon Bacheon...when you walk into a field full of murdered people, probably not the best idea to start screaming and calling attention to yourself! Whoops, um...never mind, he didn’t hear me.
Yeah, he was the guy who carried his name tag on a kidnapping mission, wasn’t he. Well it was only a matter of time, wasn’t it. Darwin wins again.
It’s very hard to believe that nobody in the entire country had realized by this time in history that meteor showers occurred predictably. I suppose it's possible...See, this is the problem when you take a real person's history and fictionalize the bejeezus out of it. If Jang really was the first then this series isn't going to properly acknowledge it because it's being used as a gimmick for the execution plot and people won't take it seriously.
