I want to see the bakery filled with customers--regularly. Please, please no drawn-out melodrama about the family business failing. The landlord came in that one time about overdue rent, but that was all so far...and we did hear baker dad say that the place was doing better now that they were featured on TV. Whatever else good or bad happens to anybody, that bakery won that taste-test competition so they obviously make good stuff and deserve to be successful.
I want to see a monster blow-up argument between Grandpa Sundial and Seyeong's grandma. How cool would that be. They both think they're so smart and wise...let them get a full dose of what pains in the butt they are.
Would be nice to see Yerin's brother find some satisfying work. Same with Jaeseong's mom; she obviously is talented and has given up so many years to her family. Somebody get her that home shopping gig she wants--she can be very funny (sometimes unintentionally) so that could be an entertaining storyline.
Would love to see Jaeseong do something selfish. He's trying so hard to be the good son / wanna-be-boyfriend and putting up with everybody else's crap. Just once it would be great if he'd pull some sort of stunt for himself. Like, go into Grandpa Sundial's room and tell him, "I'm gay and I'm in love with a man," and then when the old man has a heart attack and dies on the spot, Jaesong can marry Seyeong without a hassle. Not that he should kill his grandpa, maybe that's not the best example, but just one totally self-serving thing. Would make the character more interesting.
Gieum needs to suffer. Rich spoiled princess, she needs some serious adversity to save her and help her grow up. (And okay, who doesn't like to see spoiled rich kids get what's coming to them?)
We got to see Yerin grovel once already, and it was so sweet I can be content with just the one. But it would be nice to see her exposed for switching Seyeong's script. Probably too far in the past now, but the broken-fridge surprise came out of nowhere, so maybe somehow...?
I miss seeing the second-grader being the wisest one in the series. That was great; please bring it back.
I absolutely do NOT want to see Seyeong have a heart problem. This is the exact kind of over-the-top thing these shows tend to do and it's part of why I don't care for them. She had it fixed when she was little; that should be the end of it. Not really expecting it to happen; just saying.
Sort of want to see Seongsu turn into a reasonable excuse for a grown man; Ilyeong deserves that much out of him...but I'll settle for seeing his entire wardrobe turned into a pile of smoldering embers outside their house. I'll buy the matches and gasoline.
And finally, I don't want the ending to be too syrupy. You want to see these people wise up where they have to, and hopefully find some success and peace of mind and whatever else they're lacking. (Particularly would be good to see Yerin's mom be able to let go of the demons and become a warmer person.) I just hope it doesn't turn into a love-and-togetherness-fest where everybody stares adoringly at each other like The Brady Bunch.
