Has anyone else commented on this...when I pressed "quote" to directly respond to a comment, what I ended up with were the quote and no way to attach my response. I then tried it 2 more times, and ended up with 3 quoted comments and no reply from me. I looked for ways to delete these blank posts, but couldn't find one. And I'm assuming there is no way.

.....In an ideal world I would love to have an opt-in box that automatically sends a notice to our email inbox anytime a new post appears in a thread we're participating in. I already get that with another small site I participate in. For daily posters, that may be frivolous, but for those with plates piled high, a CDFK thread becomes as high priority as any other inbox items, and ensures we view responses when we sign in here. So, I think I'm answering your other question here, too. A) Either we used to have the above capability, or I've seen it on the proboards admin board (not ours, theirs). So I'm pretty sure that's possible. Will investigate. B) Notice that here I have quoted you, and now I am typing in my answer. Just go to the bottom of the quoted portion, and start typing after [ / quote ] (obviously, stretched out so you can see it here) If you want to preview, click preview at the bottom of the post-creation box. You go back to make corrections by clicking BBCode. You can click "create post" from either page to finalze your post. To delete your post, use the dropdown menu on the upper right. The one with the gear. Click "delete post." Bo

I have a smallish problem, and I'm putting it here in case someone else is too. The typeface (font) of the final posts are a little difficult to read for me. All the letters run together. This might be an anomoly for my browser, or maybe everyone has it? Please comment.
In fact, please do comment here about any little thing you notice that you'd like to change. Not all changes will be made of course, but we are looking for suggestions and ideas.
Bo

Thanks Bo. Guess I tried to delete the post while in "edit mode" and could only bookmark it. Just now I deleted 1 of the 3 blank posts but it won't allow deleting the other 2, displaying already been deleted. Maybe when I login again, it'll update?

Are you referring to the empty posts in the Thank You thread? I took care of it.

1) I don't think the quotes thing worked that way before, right? Without your tip, I'd keep sending blank quoted posts!
2) I appreciate you looking into the opt-in email notice. 'Cause I'd sure like to respond to CKDF threads in a more timely manner than I've been able to do ... and not miss out on relevant replies if I sign back in after, say, 2-3 days.

Are you referring to the empty posts in the Thank You thread? I took care of it. You did? A couple of minutes ago, I deleted 1 of the 3 blank posts but it wouldn't delete the last 2. Guess we were working on it at the same time. Thanks, knov1, for ridding the detritus from the site.

Bo,
I'm like the kid caught with smeared ice cream all over its face. You can see from my above post what I've gotten up to while you were gone. If someone has a double quote in their post, which happened twice today, and I try to edit out some of it, you can see what I end up posting. Not good...

LOL. The beginning of the quote is like so: [ quote ]
The end of the quote is like so: [ / quote ]
With no spaces. Is this helping at all? LOL.

LOL. The end of the quote is like ... Is this helping at all? LOL. Yep, see how I edited your quote? Correctly. Thanks, Bo. The evidence of my 'handiwork' is gone, so someone cleaned up after me -- again. So thanks whoever you are!

HOORAY HOORAY - I am now the happy owner of a new computer, just installed this am. Had to eset my password buth othr than that, no problem signing in. It feels good to be on my own comp once again. It was tiresome having to log one each and every atime I went on-line on my daughter's comp - and forget bookmarks/favorites - had to find them all nce again each time I went online. Now I can watch my Kdramas in peace at my own time space - no more midnight or later times My Sybill is entombed in a low dresser drawer - but who knows? since she is a laptop, I might do Dr Frankensein on her and revie her for travel . . .later on that. Just hello to everyone here - good to be able to read all the posts. Read the summaries for That Winter The Wid Blows and QSD. Both ajk and Knovl did excellent jobs on the summaries. I read them so now am up to date on bot of them and their endings. Hope to be able to stay on here and keep up with all that's going on. Looking forward to the next series . .atleast now I will be able to keep up with the episodes . .

Looking forward to the next series . .atleast now I will be able to keep up with the episodes . . Congratulations, Soapygrams! Now you can have more fun! I've been watching channel 41, even though the picture is snowy. The King and I and The Land probably come in on other channels, but it's so hard to add them with this tv. If the antenna isn't in the right place, it won't recognize the channel, and I run out of patience in moving the antenna and trying over and over. Edited to add: Oops, I just noticed what the name of this thread is. We got off topic. (I don't know where Soapygrams and my comments could go, though.)
