What can WK develop? Sorry, I couldn't resist that. For a character who's not onscreen all that much, he's really been a complex character. You are left wondering how he raised SM to be so cold, since it seems that he was (at least in the beginning of the show) so affectionate/nice to JY, now we see that he was/is a cold man too. I'm beginning to wonder if his nice behavior to JY was a form of reliving his days courting his first wife -- and I further suspect that his first wife died just to escape him! He probably treated her the way he does the 2nd Mrs. WK... as a slave! I'm curious to see how the writers will either, A) keep him from messing with JM's head and telling him his self-important truth, or B) have him deal with the aftermath.

WK has always been completely unwilling to listen to any other human being on any subject. Back when he was being stubborn about eels and koi, it had its humorous aspect. Now he is a real pest.
However, I do think it is a trifle one-sided to get on his case for treating his current wife "as a slave", because how has she been treating him? She has never said anything tender to him in the entire series so far as I know. She has been nagging him for four whole years now and has not played any constructive role in the Ji-Min business. I think they are about evenly matched.
I do feel sorry for the first wife, though.
