Knov1,
Too bad I didn't have 24.5 reception till this was half-aired. The father figure has to be one of the most villainous characters I've seen in kdramas. Wished I'd seen it from the beginning to see how his relationship with his wife began. The romantic storyline of the young couple, not so interesting.

nuwildcats,
I too missed the first part of this drama, but I found it on the web. It is really worth looking it up. It answers a lot of questions when you see the beginning. I love all the programs on MBC.

anhrafael,
Thanks for posting your comment.
Until the latest batch of MBC dramas ended, I too was raving about the quality of MBC's dramas. But the gods had to have been smiling down on me when MBC's reception was knocked out when I was partly through 5-6 dramas. By the time I could search for other sources and play catch up, I'd enough distance to absorb the shock as all the sympathetic characters, one by one, died in the last episodes, one in the last 20 seconds of the last episode.
Why MBC would broadcast at the exact same time scripts with deteriorating storylines and dead characters beats the hell out of me, but that's what they did. I probably will go back and watch "May Queen" because its young male lead starred in the just-completed "Scandal: A Shocking Incident..."
At least I know how "May Queen" is going to end. For the near future, I'll be vetting any dramas before I invest in watching them, to know in advance how crazy the ending will be, and which favorite character is going to die on me.
