How did you all react when you heard Sangmin say that he would no longer try to register Jimin as his son? I was kinda shocked, I guess I figured it would happen, but not so soon. Did you all see how psycho his father was? Slapping his kid on the side of the head, he was the exact same shade as his shirt (red). Looks like JY couldn't believe it either. If SM had only done this earlier, he'd have a shoulder to cry on now that he is at death's door.

Sure, a guy has to be mortally ill to do the right thing!
Okay, I'll stop beating up SM, after all, he's got his father to do that for him. WK really has become repellant, hasn't he? Even more so than SM in his own (formerly) selfish was repellant, WK has upped the ante, so to speak.
You almost have to feel sorry for SM; the way things are going, it looks like the only ones who will be sorry he's ill are JY and YJ, now that he's gone and done the right thing.
However, JY's right to not let down her guard. I can certainly see that old coot kidnapping JM!

I think the father does not even love his son. I say it again what about Yuna. Does he not love her. Probably not. This man has gone from a nice man to a very selfish person. Does a kid he never knew mean so much to him know. Why because his name goes on. His name can go on through Yuna. I think we will see a different Min-Joo in the coming weeks.

...I think we will see a different Min-Joo in the coming weeks. What an interesting thought. We get a bit of an indication of that in the preview shots, but I wonder whether she'll really change. She did change her mind once before, when SM was in the car accident after she dumped him due to his father's behaviour (pre-marriage). Also, when she stopped their first divorce because of JY's child. (And I wonder why she did that. Her "You'll never know why I took you back..." seemed a little odd to me at the time. To keep him AWAY from his child, out of spite? To protect Ja-Young?) Like I've said before, I hope the concept of the Yellow Handkerchief extends to these two, just because. Bo PS - I held my breath--I've been waiting for him to do just that. YJ's reaction was wonderful. As for psycho-dad--wasn't it ironic the words he was using when he slapped SM around? You'd ignore your only son! Powerful stuff.

Hey, TheBo.... What IS the concept of the Yellow Handkerchief? I have wondered where the title came from & if it had meaning...

What IS the concept of the Yellow Handkerchief? I have wondered where the title came from & if it had meaning... I think we've all asked that same question over the past few months. As I understand it, in Korea, a "Yellow Handkerchief" is symbolic of one's eternal devotion and of forgiveness. It was about time he started thinking about what's best for his son. I'm glad to see him interacting with his daughter too, again, about time. Now if only his father would have a stroke and be unable to speak.....

Hey, TheBo.... What IS the concept of the Yellow Handkerchief? I have wondered where the title came from & if it had meaning... Sorry, shel -- I only read these boards after I'm caught up on the viewing schedule from my videotaping so I don't get sideswiped by an unintentional "spoiler-for-Bo". I see Mikey answered your question and gave you the info from the same place I got it from. Bo
