Thanks Bo and Pilseung - still waiting for my doc's approval to go back to my regular routine - saw him yesterday - had a follow-up x-ray - the teck told me the results would be sent to my doc YESTERDAY AFTERNOON - Well I called today and he still did not have the report - so - But I feel pretty good - have to admit tho that I do need to sit and take in some oxygen every so often - which is something I had not needed before - but I guess at my age pneumonia is a rather serious patch - so I am just going along with my doc's advice - but the inactivity is driving me crazy - haven't sat down so long since my last trip to LA - 4.6 hours - If I can get this laptop to pull in the dramafever site - I'll start watching - still waiting for my own comp to recover or - in the alternative - die and I will have to replace it somehow - ah well - that's life - in the real world and in cyber space - aigu . .

You can get so comfortable with your computer if you've had it for a while, and have it set up just the way you like it. Then you get a new one, and you're back to square one, and if the new one has a new operating system (my old laptop ran Windows XP, but this one runs Vista) you often CAN"T get it to work exactly the same. Ah, progress .

My goodness, you are actually using Vista.I'm surprised you find Vista is stable.I went back to XP after getting fed up with my new computer which had the Vista OS.

My newer laptop came with Vista, and I regularly curse it out. I have an old XP disc, but I can't find the cardboard folder with the disc key. Fortunately, my brother-in-law (the family computer expert) has a few extra laying around, and says he'll give me one.
My "work" computer also has Vista, but gives me no problems. Go figure.

Got XP-Pro on this laptop - the problem is that it belongs to my son-in-law on loan to me while my desktop is being "fixed" - I cannot download most things and he has been working so many hours at work that I hesitate to complain - since his job is with computers LOL I will try again tonight and see if I can log into dramafever and then try to watch one of the shows - This computer will NOT store my personal favorites - re: use name - etc. Every time I sign off on here, when I come back I have to log in again - it's not the site's fault - I have to do the same with FB - too
Maybe he can come down by me this week-end and I can show him what the problems are - You know the old saying - don't look a gift horse in the mouth - well - this horse has a few tooth problems in my opinion - but beggars cannot be choosers - and at least I can sign in even if it is repetitive to do so each time - It is NOT a perfect world.
BTW - my doc finally called today - he said my pneumonia is clearing up very well - almost all clear and I can go back to my regular activities next week - Now I have a head cold - runny nose mostly which stated this morning - as RoseannRoseanan Danan used to say: If it's not one thing it's another - or words to that effect. Everybody - stay healthy.

Everybody - stay healthy. First and foremost,it's great that your pneumonia is clearing up very well.Look after yourself, you deserve it!~ ;D One type of head cold results from not drying one's hair completely and/or not wearing a hat, before going out in the morning during the cold months of the year, like after swimming, showering, etc.Head colds are a very common thing when growing up in England.Just my two cents on this. Passwords and usernames solution....possibly. Are you using Internet Explorer(I.E.)?If you are,it's easy to "fix". On the (I.E.)menubar above, there should be one saying "Tools",usually it's placed on the far right. CLICK on "Tools",then CLICK on "Internet Options",then CLICK on the tab that says"Content",under the sub-heading "AutoComplete" CLICK on "Settings".Here, you tick the 3 boxes of "Web addresses","User names and passwords on forms" and "Prompt me to save passwords".Now you must CLICK "OK" twice. This will set you up nicely. Kindly note,I'm up in wee hours of the morning to do some work that I need to do today so I apologise in advance for any typos.

Hi Soapygrams, glad you're feeling better! It's so frustrating when computers don't do what you want. For me, I keep trying the same things over and over for a while, because I can't believe that it isn't working. Sometime it works to Google the problem to find an answer.
