Episodes 21 and 22: . . . . . . . . . . . . . What was in the letter that Yeo Hwa gave to Wi Hong Rang for Yeo Gu, and what message did Hae Gun replace it with? Sayu sure needs an anger management class doesn't he? What's he so angry about now that has his ministers in such a tizzy? Looks like two men of note and their soldiers have joined the good guys' cause, even if the food's not to their liking. Am I mixing up faces, or does one of them have the royal seal of Buyeo? And does Wi Bi Rang know he has it? Still so confusing about succession in Baekje. I thought part of the deal for Gye to become king was that Chan would continue to be Crown Prince. Did king change his mind? Because in Ep 22 it looked like Chan was being made CP again, much to Mun's and other family members' dismay. Are Gu and BiRang blood brothers or aren't they? Because if they are, it seems to me BiRang would have to be a real slimeball (even worse than Evil Brother #3) to be secretly planning to have him done away with. The drama doesn't fully explain the letter part, so I'm not sure yet. But I think Hae Gun replaced Yeo Hwa's love letter it with a letter to lure Yeo Gu. Sayu says he would fight till death in the war against the Chinese Yan dynasty and his ministers were against that since they are worried about his safety. One of them does have the royal seal of Buyeo. Wi Birang has no clue that he has it. King did not change his mind, it's just that they had to do the CP ceremony all over again now that he's a new king. Mun and other family members couldn't believe it because Mun is the biological son of the new king. Chan is the son of the dead King Biryu. Wi Birang and Gu aren't blood brothers. They just declared that they are bonded together and they will work together by doing the blood thing. He may be a slimeball now, but he's supposed to be Gu's most loyal subject later on according to the official website of King Geunchogo.

Just saw episode 6. Wow. I pity Yeochan. To be sent back looking like a caged animal than a crown prince just to humiliate him and entertainment, Sayu is disgustingly evil.
Who would have thought that King Biryu was such a huge crybaby. Normally in scenes like that, I find myself wanting to shut the person up, but in this case, I really pity the guy.
The romance between Yeogu and Yeohwa is subtle and touching. Its a shame that the lives of royalty is not the truly the equivalent of happiness.

Episodes 23 and 24: . . . . . . . . . . . . .
People in this show are very fond of slicing open their hands aren't they?
Can it be, can it, can it? New character sent by Fan Man to track Yeogu - is it really our beloved Nalbal? (By the way, YSS has just started rerunning on MIND TV in Philly).
Oh no!!! Not Deep-Voiced Manly Buddy! Why couldn't it have been Dim-Wit Buddy instead? At least he seems to be making a remarkable recovery. Is Fan Man just really poor at archery, or was he trying to just wound Buddy?
Come on. Fan Man shoots Buddy and everybody's OK with that? What was the point of all this? Just kill them and be done with it.
Brue at least shows some conscience. I guess Brother has disowned Sister.
Evil King Gye made some new appointments at the end of Ep 23 - anything important?
Was Crown Prince/Evil Brother #1 threatening Kindly Brother #2 at the end of Ep 24?
Sure wish I knew what was going on. At least the subs have started coming.

Ajikai(the fan man) was trying to kill Bok Guguhm(the manly buddy) but the fat guy next to Bok Guguhm stopped him from doing that. 4. Wi Birang(the leader of Buyeo group) is supposed to turn good later and become Yeogu's most loyal subject according to the official website of King Geunchogo, so it will be fun to see how that happens. 5. I haven't watched ep24 yet, so I can't answer this. 6. King Gye appointed his biological son Min as the Duke of Wirae(King Gye's former position before killing King Biryu). This shows that he is not going to let Chan become the next king easily. He had no choice but to make Chan as the crowned prince, because the evil queen threatened to tell everyone about the truth of King Biryu's death so she can get executed together with King Gye. 7. I haven't watched ep24 yet, so I can't answer this. I'll try to answer the ep 24 questions after I watch it.

Yes, Chan(Evil brother) was threatening Hui(the kindly brother) at the end of ep24. He said if Hui doesn't help him out, he will kill him.

I agree about BiRang. He seems to be getting more and more despicable. And Fan Man is so smirky. How are his "subjects" supposed to respect him, if he's planning to be king of a renewed Buyeo? What's it going to take for him to change his mind about Yeogu? (And with 24 episodes done and only 50 total, the writers better get a move on). Considering that the real Gye only ruled for 2 years, I'm curious as to how many more episodes til Gu becomes king, and how this will all come about. They've got to set aside some episodes for him to cream Gugoryo, don't they.
I'm really interested in the guy who has the royal seal. Maybe he's going to have more respect for YeuGu than BiRang and give the seal to him instead.

Funnily enough it was Yeogu's son that actually killed Sayu so at 24 episodes (we are still on 11 on KBS World )and Yeogu still has not become Ehora let alone have a grown up son so KBS are going to have to cram this one with only 50 eps total .

Episodes 25 and 26: . . . . . . . . . . . . . I was rolling my eyes in disbelief after watching Ep 25 (Yeogu and Yeohwa go out to play in the snow, and they think nobody's going to notice that Wang Mama is missing?)
But then Ep 26 came along and Bam! the writers finally kick it up a notch. They sure packed a lot into the last 10 minutes or so, didn't they?
I can just imagine Yeogu sitting on the hill playing his flute and mentally going through his To-Do List:
Royal Seal of BuYeo - check Grandmother Soseono's blessing - check Loyalty of royalty of BuYeo (hey that rhymes!) - check Baekje buddies all healthy again - check Woman to bear my royal successors - check Kingly topknot and beard makeover- check No-nonsense armor - check Army - check Fleet of ships to carry them - check OK men, let's go kick some royal heinie!
On an equal note of non-seriousness, I've long since decided that Koreans must be the most hardy, resilient people on the planet. No matter how much they get sliced and diced, they just bounce back. In this show we've had people recover from point blank arrow shots, sword slices, knife stabs, and now the hatchet in the chest. Ooph! That's gotta hurt. When awards time rolls around, I'm going to have a hard time deciding who's most worthy of the Iron Man Award.
So much was rushed through at the end. Which city did Yeogu attack? Part of the disputed territory, or part of Gugoryo?

Yeogu attacked the territory of Baekjae that King Gye was going to hand over to Goguryeo.

Don't let the beard throw you off. I think she wears that disguise in only one episode. You've reached one of the turning points in the story, with a new set of characters and plots added to the mix. Don't give up on it.
Granted I've only seen subs for 8 of the 26 episodes so far, but even without knowing what they're saying, I'm really enjoying this. It has fewer flaws than a lot of the other historicals we've been given.

I just saw the girl with the beard. These words should sum it up.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry! How can I take that seriously!!!? I've seen genderbenders before, but this is a first!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, is it really a Goguryeo custom in which once you have cheers and take a drink, you throw it down the ground and break it? Isn't that a waste of cups? Or was it made up by the writers for drama? Because if it is, its not dramatic. Its funny!
MOD NOTE: Nothing wrong here except your lines were making huge scrolly-side-to-side posts for the whole page! HAHAHAHA! (Fixed it by putting in returns. LOL.)
