I can't help but feel that Hyun-ji is just bluffing and is going to end up staying in Korea for another 20 episodes or so. She gets on my nerves so bad! The ego of that woman is amazing. She acts like the victim when if she would have paid attention to what Young joon was telling her in the first place--that he doesn't love her anymore--she would have saved herself a lot of pain and humiliation. It's easy to see why she and Min-joo get along so well. In yesterday's episode, Minjoo made a comment that she couldn't believe how much pain "Ja-young had caused so many people." Can you believe that?? Not only did she ruin Ja-young's relationship with Sangmin, now she wants to have a say in what Jayoung and Youngjoon are going through. Unbelievable!

We saw her heading to the airport, but, until I see that plane take off with her on it, I won't trust her.
Her "engagement" to Young-joon only lasted for a couple of episodes; surely there's potential for more plot convolutions by having her stick around.

At this point it looks like HJ may really be gone forever, now that she's proven her point that JY and YJ were not meant to be. Finally having been right about something (seemingly), and maybe being in a position where she can do YJ some good, she disappears from the scene, looking just as foolish as ever.

Intuition tells me Hyun-ji really is gone. As Yobo points out, she's served her purpose in terms of a dramatic device (keeping the two protagonists apart and creating a deeper wedge between YJ and his grandmother) and I don't see any purpose for her now. I have a feeling we won't be seeing her again--except maybe in flashbacks, which YH seems to love using and employs liberally.
Good riddance, too, I say! She really was grating on my nerves.
