Hi everyone!
I'm a NY/NJ viewer as well - in Brooklyn! I've been away (in Japan) so I didn't know this topic was started....
I missed several of the episodes but they are on mysoju so I am catching up. This drama does seem a lot better than YAMD.
And I agree with the posters above, the music is definitely reminiscent of another kdrama.
I am also wondering what's next after MDU - I have gotten to like that.....sometimes if you call WMBC they'll give you some info....

I think I am beginning to dislike this drama. Here we go with the stalker theme -- again. Continually showing up in someone's space is creepy. I guess k-drama writers feel that as long as the stalker is good looking, it' s OK. And while we're on the romance topic -- here we go again with someone (Suin) absolutely not being nice towards someone who is very nice to her -- and for no apparent reason. Now what is not a cliche in this drama is that we have 2 people who are being raised by people other than their biological parents -- Suin (which was just revealed last nite) and Jisu. Maybe they're sisters or cousins who knows, but I have a feeling this is going to be one of those ridiculous dramas. I wish WMBC would give us more dramas like Mom's Dead Upset -- it's so intelligent, and so appreciated!

For anyone here in NJ who have Cablevision... For some strange reason Channel 20 WMBC is just a dark green fadding to black screen right now for some reason.

Hey Mara, go brooklyn, woot! lol
Door, I sighed and shook my head with that rooftop scene and the 10 date trial. Brought Subin to mind again, puppy called it lol, oh and let us not forget the other triangle of Jisu, Hiro, and Sumi that's soon to come =/.... I think Suin is still angry at Hyensu for rejecting her before he went into the army, and that lead her to marry the gay man and she is now facing shame and all that baggage but yes, she still really needs to loosen up at times..... Ah, I didn't put Jisu and Suin together as possible relatives but that would be an interesting twist of things! I also think Hiro and grandpa's friend could be related. She said she has an older sister that went to Japan but they lost touch and she doesn't know much about her and Hiro's grandma is Korean. I'm hoping it doesn't get to be another YAMD but I'm getting that feeling too Door.
Hey Zapages, it happened in brooklyn too. It's now 12:14 a.m. and the green screen is still there. Probably means no MDU either. I looked around to see if they changed stations with the Digital switch thing going on, but I found nothing.

Brooklyn, I didn't put together Hiro and Grandpa's friend -- you're probably right with that one. Zapages, where in NJ are you? Anyone knows what will come after MDU?

WMBC sometimes goes black here too and other times all wavery and jumpy so you can hardly read the subtitles. I think they're having trouble with the digital switch. It's been OK for the past few weeks though, at least where I watch in NE PA.
I'm getting a little impatient with this drama too but not yet ready to bail although I look forward to weekends when I can see MDU.
I don't understand this 10-date thing at all. It seems that if a woman likes you the man has to give her a play even if she leaves him cold, a la Hosae/Subin. Did any of you trust her tears the other night? First she tells him she's a modern woman and just wants a couple of laughs; then a few episodes later, she's weeping that he makes her heart stop and he HAS to date her.
And Suin is way too cold. They have to make her more sympathetic or she'll lose the viewers' trust, like Sabby did. The mother is a pain, and so is the doctor mother. Pushy, pushy.

I usually watch the show with my Mother... Anyway MDU was ok during the weekend. Its good to see more fans of this show here to discuss things and all. Hopefully the show broadcasts without any hitch. See you guys around.

I hate historical dramas -- I am so disappointed. I was hoping for another intelligent drama like MDU

Well, I have mixed feelings. I am fairly new to kdrama - I think Bizarre Bunch was my first. When DaeJoYoung came on, I was livid - even emailed WMBC. But I really got into it as time went on and never missed an episode - taping them when I wasn't home. Once there was some problem and it didn't get taped. I found the episode online somewhere but with no esubs. But then I found a transcript in Korean which I put into the google translate tool to try to figure out what was going on. ;-)

Suin moves very slooow, like this drama. Also, her mom pushed the marriage on her and maybe she didn't want to disappoint her.
Thanks for the info, maranyc. Historicals are my faves. Door's down but look at it this way, Dorrie; it might just be good, low on the battles and military strategy, high on character development , maybe romance.)
As to last nite's show, here's what I'm predicting: now that Hyeonsu (sp??) seems in favor of an abortion and he's the good guy, maybe the writers want Suin not to be preg anymore. Sooo...something catastrophic happens and miscarries, after of course, he tells her he'll stand by her no matter what. What do you think?

I don't mind historicals at all but I'd rather them on the weekdays which would make them go faster seeing as there are always so many episodes; gees 160, isn't that like 20 months? The rest of 09 weekends and all of 2010 are covered then? x.x
Anyone get the feeling that we might have another Tengchil/Taeja situation with Shinae and Juho? Juho's being too 'smooth' and Shinae just might fall for it.
Ah, puppy, I could see that happening. Like the time those drunk men pushed her into the truck, I think it was, and she ended up in the ER, I thought that was gonna end in her losing the baby; but yes, I feel the same that a miscarriage might ensue especially with the line of work she's doing or she gets into a fight with Sumi and somehow falls down the stairs.
