As can probably be seen from all my posts of recaps and character lists and stuff, I find this show really addictive.
The dangerous thing is this: I haven't been watching it on Ch. 41 at all because our reception is so utterly terrible. I've been watching it on KBS's 56K VOD, while following along on the d-additcts subtitles in another window! I've seen the first three episodes - as you broadcast viewers have done - but if I allow myself to be carried away, I can watch ALL the episodes this way, without waiting 9 more weeks, abandoning all considerations of work, family, etc. It's a real temptation.

I agree, Lucifer is really addictive. I am glad that I get Ch. 41 in OK because if I didn't I would have bought it and when I do that my family doesn't see me for 2 to 3 days. At least they know where I am.

;D Oh Brenda, our dear WOCH is just trying to help you become saintly. Remember that saying, "Patience is virtue" --- see - they're just testing you and making you become more virtuous by PATIENTLY waiting for each episode. LOL

I wish I would feel addicted, but all the mysteries and confusion in this show are kicking my a--, so to speak, and it's taking away a bit of my enthusiasm. It's hard for me to keep track of the characters who may be unnamed in a flashback but appear elsewhere, like the guy in the bookstore. Everyone else here seems to remember him from somewhere, but I didn't think we'd seen him before. Oh well, I still find the show fascinating. One thing that caught my eye is the way some of the sets are somewhat diffuse and mysterious themselves. I've noticed this in other dramas, too. Like in the occult bookstore, can you really see anything of the store? All you can see is the front door and this table in a darkened room that seems to be surrounded by mist and colored lights at times. Interesting choice. It doesn't really look like a store, at least not any store that wants to sell merchandise! LOL.

I think the guy in the bookstore is the same guy who was really confident when he gave that bear to that little girl and that seen ties into the four friends and one of the friends (the one coughing)was threating the mother of that little girl because he is a loan shark. I really wonder if those friends went around bullying/ stabbing people in thier class and maybe two of them that got bullied/stabbed are not necessarily working together (lawyer guy and bookstore guy) are going to get revenge for all their bad deeds. I think the lawyer is going to know all thier dirty little secrets and get them that way and the bookstore guy is trying to kill them all. The question is which child really did the stabbing among those friends. The detective?

i've been feeling the same way most of the times, that's why I have to tape them & rewatch later. I still get confused, but it's so fascinating, there's something that draws you in.
good luck!

I get the feeling that, as this show goes on, I'm going to end up with a large bulletin board covered with pictures of the characters and notes, with lengths of different-colored yarn pinned up to indicate connections and such.

huh?
with people like me, you're right!! I can hardly tell one guy from another, especially in the hazy scenes. I'm just confused on who's who when they do the flashbacks.
also, for me the names are hard to remember, my memory board in my head keeps shorting out.

sunshinek:
Yes, that was the same guy - Yeong-cheol. When he is at work he wears his glasses and goes around like a stammering mousy nebbishy guy, but then he apparently moonlights as a thug for Dae-shik, the loan shark, and gets his confidence back, at least when dealing with little kids!
As of the end of episode 3, it's not clear exactly where he works, or why he had a tarot card in his possession.

Soju, I love that idea, lol. Wonder where I can fit a bulletin board in my living room. Personally, I've been finding myself watching each episode while it runs, but also recording it at the same time. Then when I watch the tape a day or two later, I see all sorts of clues that I completely missed the first time around. This show is great. The actors are wonderful, and the way it's been filmed is mysterious and interesting. I'm glad it's airing in Chicago.
