What is this drama about? I went to the site but it's all in Korean. It does look like a historical drama, so I would love to watch it.

Balhae is one of Korean dynastries. It existed during the period of South(Shilla, BC 57~AD935) and North(Balhae, AD698~926).

I think this Kingdom is also often Romanized as "Parhae".

Parhae? Is that how they pronounce in China? I dont think I've never saw a Korean person pronoucing it that way.

The Chinese pronunciation is "Bohai", and Parhae and Balhae are Romanization based on Korean pronunciation. I suspect Parhae is more popular in the English speaking world.
