I SO agree with you arthasvsleon. It seems to have the same intensity as IYSS (without the black hats ... although that green hat with white feathers is rather attractive)
I loved this story at the end of ep1 ... the characters/actors ... great variety of personalities. Cyuser kind of nails it: this drama is soooooo good.
I'm still not enthralled with some of the new romance storeis. ... but really like the Chill Sisters... good family interaction ...
I really like the 2-hour same night format.
The Actors: is themean guy an actor from Yellow Handkerchief? and his brother bears a resemblance to one of our favorites?
Love the kids ... anyway, if we can't have a 14, 15, 16th century story, this is certainly a worthy option.

YES KDD . From 9:00-9:30 there's bits and pieces of stuff I didn't pay much attention to. And in true KBC style, start time is maybe 8:00pm ... maybe 8:07, 8:10.... and 9:30 might be 9:22 or 9:34... So for practical purposes, I've set my VCR from 7:55 - 10:35pm. I can play their game too. Shouldn't someone take all these little threads and bunch them together?

wow, florel....looks like another winner here. I have to catch up with watching k-dramas. love that about you. you present both the real history and drama presentation so well! and also good to see others back since IYSS. Gives me a reason to study the history surrounding "seoul 1945" just like we did with IYSS and the Imjin waeran.

Kathleen, Mikey and Moreshige, with my pleasure. Which episodes are you up to ? I watched Ep. 67 tonight with tears in my eyes. Perhaps this drama is not a masterpiece like as "Pupil of the Dawn" and it has some weak points. The writers upset me sometimes. But it has its charm and let me think of some political and social issues. I heard that four more episodes remain and the last one will be aired on 10 Sept. Up to now, I have no idea how it'll be ended. Moreshige, do you know recommandable bibliography in English ? I know less about contemporary history. I read books on this period more than ten years ago. I didn't study much about the behind history when I followed this drama, because during whole of this year, I have been very occupied. Hopefully we would be able to exchange knowledges and opinions with all fans of Seoul 1945. I also would like to learn. ;D

Florel, we just saw episodes 11 and 12 last night. Oon-hyuk has ended up in Leningrad and Sukyoung has gone after him; the silly girl is only going to make things worse. I wish she would leave him alone. Baron Moon has told Officer Kimura to bring back Sukyoung, and Kimura (Park Chang-ju) has sworn to kill Oon-hyuk, too, even though no one asked him to.
