Your suspicion is supported by the fact that Jin Jae brandished Duduel's head in such a way that his face was not shown. AOW has been teasing us a lot lately.

it pisses me off, how the writers dont even knwo what they want duduel to be. at first, he was a ghost who stalked the archfiend, and would disapeer into thin air. then all of the sudden, he is a monk who everyone knows. and then, he is a ghost again, when aran and yi ji young burn down his shack, and he comes back.
