What i don't understand is that is OK to give under-ware but you can't touch someones hand? I figure giving someone undies is kind of embarrassing unless you know the person really good, i don't seem to get that maybe is a cultural thing. That is soooo true! Also, as far as parents and their children, I’ve noticed that when they are kids, it seems they are given kisses/hugs aplenty, so is it a Korean custom that once the children reach a certain age, the parents and their children stop any emotional display of physical contact as a show of utmost respect for each other?

Mrs. Hen must've been so pleased with herself. Good for her! Hey, she even got an ice cream out of it, she even called In-chul just to tell him the good news.

You're welcome I wonder how Grandpa would feel if he found out that Mrs. Hen won the game b/c In-chul taught her the strategies? Just like how Mrs. Hen filled up the crossword puzzle for Grandpa....she called her brother for help ;D!

But she really did learn to play the game better. It's not as though she had a secret wire so that In-chul could tell her where to move her pieces. Good for Mrs. Hen. I hope Grandpa doesn't belittle her some more for that. After all, she worked at getting better; she didn't cheat like with the x-word puzzle. Maybe he thinks that winning at a game only counts if you never had anyone to teach you.

Who is the new woman in the previews? I hope Aunt doesn't have competition now, it's been going so well with her and Grandpa. She has been enjoying the attention and having fun, which I don't think she had much of before. It's been sweet to see her smiling shyly. Hope she doesn't start suffering.

I hope you guys don't mind me bringing this one forward again, I just watched the episode where In-young asks Ki-joon out for a birthday dinner, so you know how far back I am! Anywho: I do see your point, soapy, but I think she was already past the usual Korean marriage age when the kids' mother died. It was only, what, 15 years ago, I think. She has to be at least 55. She looks older to me because she played a grandma on OMR and was always talking about dying, but I put her at around 60. So I don't think she gave up marriage to raise the kids. . . . I have thought that perhaps she also "raised" her brother, since she is so much older than he is. Maybe she gave up her whole life to live for her widowed father and her brother, and when her brother was widowed, she took care of his family. The reason I think this is because they never talk about the kids' paternal grandparents, and that seems unusual to me. ...I noticed today that neither [Mrs Hen or Grandpa] has any gray hair, maybe they are younger than I have been thinking. I have also recently noticed that grandpa is getting a little grey area at the front of his "do"--was that always there? Right behind the widow's peak, you can see it when he looks down. It certainly looks more natural than all black did. Bo

What is happening to the show? They suddenly introduce this Bok-soon character that seems to serve no true purpose. Then they hd this budding romance storyline between granny and gramps and that's seemed to have disappeared... They really need to tie things together. They're totally missing the main storyline here and messing aorund with all the unimportant side characters...

If anything, Bok-soon's role in this show was basically a blabber-mouth. She spilled the beans about Grandpa and Mrs. Hen. She also was a gossip vixen and told In-young's family about Ki-joon remarrying. Other than that, I have no clue why Bok-soon was put in this show. I thought her role would have been more important, but so far that's the only thing I can see she is there for.
