It was so cute how she's even embarrassed to tell her sister about her "romance" with the director guy. She does like him and is even considering marrying him--in the event he asks.
He's got good taste in purses. That looked like a Berken bag.
LOL! How Cha said that it was just a bribe to seduce her. And then he went on to confess that that's why he had bought Kyunga all those expensive gifts, pashmina's cashmere gloves--so he could kiss her.

That's cool, she has tamed the beast within him...call me crazy, but I'm actually going to miss all the screaming and yelling, I've always found it funny, a bit annoying sometimes, but I always had a great time watching him...imagine if she never calmed him down and it was their wedding, that would be some great comedy right there.

What I find hilarious about Cha is he just says that stuff. "Yeah, I'm calculating, I'm a suck-up....you love that about me." He says it to everyone--his MIL, his UIL/Friend, his wife--he just throws it at them. It's rather charming.

Look, this guy ain't no fool. He knows the way to a woman's heart is with a good purse. Now, only if I can train mine..... But did she have to sport it immediately? Ease up a little. Tease him a little bit...granted, this might be her last chance at romance, but good lord, he doesn't have to know.

Tease him a little bit...granted, this might be her last chance at romance, but good lord, he doesn't have to know. I think it might have been partly a show of politeness. I know it is not the etiquette for someone (in Korea) to open a gift in front of the giver--not that there's anything rude about it, as far as I know--so maybe she was showing him that she liked the purse by carrying it to her date with him. I don't know for sure, though. Have you all noticed that hardly anyone says "thank you" for something like a favor or a gift? Sometimes they say something that's virtually a thank-you, like "I will use it well," but it seems that saying it right out is not their custom.

Has she told Duk-ja (her mom) yet? (I'm behind.) I laughed when Duk-ja was giving Cha and Kyung-hwa the whole speech about how a parent should not interfere and what is wrong with the old lady (re Hana and Sang-sik) and then they cut right to the scene with Kyung-ju and Tak walking down the foggy street. Hah, hah, her turn soon.

No, she hasn't told her mom yet. Only Kyunghwa and Cha (because KH told him) know.

That's true, I've always seen them say I'll wear it well, I'll eat it well, I'll use it well, etc. And besides if its a Birkin, I'd be taking that thing with me everywhere (except maybe the bathroom). I think she's just so simple though. She likes him, she doesn't want to go around playing games or anything. She's not sure if he likes her, but as far as her end goes I think she wants to make sure he knows without actually having to tell him. And I think guys appreciate that. I myself am not too big a fan of mixed messages/signals. Just ask Lucy how I would stare and make eyes at the Korean/Asian hotties at the April Snow screening.

'strue! Especially "Baby Ji Jin Hee" a/k/a "Sleepy Ji Jin Hee." A guy who looked a bit like a smaller, sleepy-eyed JJH was there, though of course he was nowhere near his level. He'd do in a pinch, though.

I guess I should clarify for the sake of my family's honor that I'm no man-eater either. I'd never do what Hana did, so shamelessly follow Sangsik around after he told me I was a fly. But I wouldn't be "no I don't want you to call me" and then expect the poor guy to understand from that "yes, I do want you to call me".
But yes Ji Jin Hee Jr. was cute.

I was going to mention that you are ladylike and circumspect, GC, but I felt I'd spent enough verbiage on that episode.

I was going to mention that you are ladylike and circumspect, GC, but I felt I'd spent enough verbiage on that episode. Circumspect: Pronunciation: 's&r-k&m-"spekt Function: adjective Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French or Latin; Middle French circonspect, from Latin circumspectus, from past participle of circumspicere to look around, be cautious, from circum- + specere to look -- more at SPY : careful to consider all circumstances and possible consequences : PRUDENT LOL! I'm probably looking around 'case I'm confused not so much because I'm prudent but I'll take the compliment anyway. Anywho, it was funny it's Quiltie that got annoyed by that gijipae at the theatre. She burned the girl with the "stop dishonoring your parents" part. Oh, and dry eel or was it octupus that the director complained they were eating and stinked? I bet Korean theaters have different smells than american movie theaters.

I really liked this last date they had. It seems Quiltie is wiser and more insightful than I am. She could see that this guy wasn't just a jerk and that his wounds (though it sounded like a slight matter to me when he described what happened to him with that girl) were deep. She's been doing rehabilitation on him, something I myself wouldn't take on, but it's working out for her. Quilty has been accepting whatever he dishes out, whether it's a ridiculous statement about hating women (or whatever), a secondhand present, or a Birkin bag. And it's paying off--he's coming around. In fact, I do believe I shed a tear when she held his hand so warmly, and he looked really touched.

It's working out, I'm happy to see. He even got a haircut that looks normal. (Cha called him "That rocker?!?) I was wondering if Quilty spoke to the noisy girl so HE wouldn't do it himself and explode at her. He did anyway, tho. (They were eating dried squid, I think) Wow,Birkin bags are real-On Gilmore Girls, Logan gave one to Rory, and her rich grandmother was very impressed. She picked it up and held it to her nose to smell the quality leather, and her husband told her not to steal it.

Where is everyone supposedly getting these Birkin bags? Last I heard, there was a several-year waiting list for them for the ordinary folk, and, they claim, for the stars, too.
