This drama is 84 episodes long!!!!! I didn't notice that!! Oh, no, I don't think I can put up with something that only advances a minuscule amount every week. It sounds way too drawn-out. I think 12 weeks or so, as for WLS, is long enough to follow one story. This WML should be replacing My Lovely Family instead, then we'd see it 5 times a week.

I didn't notice that!! Oh, no, I don't think I can put up with something that only advances a minuscule amount every week. No, no, no, there is nothing miniscule about it. A lot happens in those 84 episodes. Please give it a chance, at least for a week or two. Won't you feel bad if you tune in one day a couple of months in and find out you missed a bunch of stuff you wished you'd seen? Sometimes, if I'm not willing to invest so much time in a drama, I'll watch the first two episodes, then once every week or two after that, and then start tuning in more frequently when I get interested. If I get interested right away, more the better. By the time WML was over, I was upset that it did not go on longer than it did. (Just a few more episodes, please please please???) Try it. You'll like it. It's a whole lot better than OMR or MPC, and you're willing to invest in them. Finally, if they show two one-hour episodes a week, that's like four episodes of a half-hour show. Bo

Good point, but that also means the show is "168 half-hour episodes" long. I mean in terms of time. Two hours per week out of 84 means that each week we're only another 2.4% (or something) further along in the process. Bear in mind that when I go to a movie, I always, just for a moment, feel trapped before the film starts. It's not that I don't have patience to sit still, it's that I realize that once WML starts, it's not going to be over for a long, long time. I guess I'm still quibbling over the fact that KBC is showing us reruns, however good they may be, and thinking of the newer programs we could be seeing in that time slot. OTOH, I am sure I'll enjoy it, so you're not allowed to throw any of this back in my face later. Yes, I'll definitely watch it, and probably enjoy it, but gosh, will I have the stamina?

Oddly, I seem to be odd man out on my opinion of Lee Tae-ran in WML, however. I thought she was shrill and totally untalented when I saw her on that show; it took YH to turn me around on her. Bo But you have to admit, her afro was fly. I had a hard time watching YH at first because of Hanna. I can't believe the nerve of KBC, airing a Michael Han-subbed drama after the way they treated him. He did a great job with WML. I bet they won't even give him the credit, they will just say "Subtitles courtesy of KBC" This drama is lighthearted, not as dramatic as the others have been. I think it will be a breath of fresh air after WLS. I would have liked to have seen a new drama, too, but I'm still looking forward to this because I missed so many eppys. And it's just so good. The 80-something eppys aren't as hard to deal with as you might think. Some dramas are so painful to watch, either because they're sad or corny, but the humor in WML makes it bearable.

I won’t say anything anymore . Doesn’t it usually happen that when someone tells you that a movie or show is so good, you get really excited and even though you might have liked it, it just doesn’t seem like it’s as good as everyone said it was because so many people hyped it up too much?

Well, I liked it a lot the first time, and I'll definitely watch it again.
Kyun Mi-ri is in it. 'Nuff said.

I can't believe the nerve of KBC, airing a Michael Han-subbed drama after the way they treated him. He did a great job with WML. I bet they won't even give him the credit, they will just say "Subtitles courtesy of KBC" That's part of the problem I have with KBC airing repeats. There's a couple of things I want to mention so that people can understand why I'm upset about the repeats and at KBC in general. I would also recommend reading Michael's post (link provided below). deiner.proboards18.com/index.cgi?board=generalmsgs&action=display&thread=1106362786As I stated before, Who's My Love is one of my favorite dramas. Winter Love Song is one my favorite dramas. I don't mind that KBC is airing repeats, it's the way they're going about it that bothers me. KBC wants to claim "we can't get new programming so we have to air repeats" but that's just a bunch of bs. KBC is currently airing new or recent dramas and shows (without subtitles). It's not that they can't air new programming. They simply don't want to make the effort to get new subtitled programming. If it's cheaper or easier for them to get dramas without subtitles, why did they fire Michael? He could be subtitling those new dramas for us. Isn't it ironic though that the repeats are dramas he subtitled? Getting back to the repeats. Right now, we have Winter Love Song and after that it's Who's My Love. Then after that... Love Letter? On the Green Prairie? Bodyguard? And after that Dae Jang Geum, Phoenix, and Damo? I don't mind watching some of those dramas again but KBC is supposedly a 24/7 channel now. They could easily air repeats of all those dramas and air new programming as well. Perhaps those of you whose only access to Korean programming is KBC don't realize this but KBC has often passed on good quality shows and dramas. They do a poor job of selecting their programming. They don't base their choices on ratings, popularity or quality of the programs. It's all based on personal taste and actors/casts that they're familiar with. To make matters worse, the majority of the people working for KBC don't have a clue about Korean entertainment. Back when KBC asked their viewers for feedback, they requested more subtitled programming. However, we now have less subtitled programming than we did before. How does that work exactly? I said this before and I'll say it again, the people running KBC are a bunch of morons if they haven't figured out by now that the best thing they can do for their viewers is air more (and new) subtitled programming.

I agree with all the things y'all have said about KBC, especially Knov1's eloquent rant. I get angry every time I see "subtitles provided by KBC" at the beginning of WLS, because of Michael. (But to be fair, they are just airing it the way they aired it originally. But, did they always credit Christy Kim on her shows? I notice they do on YSS.) Especially since, when I originally responded to KBC's request for comment, I particularly emphasized how excellent Michael's subtitling on WLS and WML was compared to the half-hour programs, even though I did not know Michael's name at the time.
I'm happy to be seeing WML again, and I'm thrilled to be seeing WLS again, since I did not get to see all of their episodes due to my inability to understand KBC's scheduling at that time. That said, I have to wonder if I'll be tuning in to other shows I've seen before or know all about due to this board, when so much I WANT to see is being denied me.

These are all very constructive (and constructively and justifiably angry) comments. How about sending them on to KBC, if you haven't already? If I had a piece of my mind to give, I'd give it to them.

Lucy is right. I was thinking (even before she said it) that I should write one of my famous ignore-me letters to KBC, with my complaints, but since I was afraid that the instant response they would have would be to pull WML and show something else instead, I (selfishly, I know) decided to delay the letter until that show is under weigh (yes, that's correct usage).
As something to look forward to for WML, I tell you that not only does it feature the versatile and fabulous Kyun Mi-ree and the surprisingly talented Lee Tae-ran, the cast also includes from DJG Lady Park (big kitchen head lady) as another aunt, Lady Han's mentor (Lady Jung? the pantry lady who is put in as a stop-gap head kitchen lady then takes over) as the grandmother, and from OMR, Mr Oh as "Cha" and the Bad Dad who killed Oh's first wife as the father of the three sons who are the main focus of WML. Got that?

Just a suggestion....
Can KBC get already subbed dramas from KBFD (Honolulu) or The Asia Network? Both personally sub tons of dramas and then sell them from their station. It would probably be cheaper than paying someone full time to sub dramas here.
