Interesting article posted at Samurai-Archives.com board about a Japanese man’s eyewitness account of a sword duel between a Ronin and three samurais when he was a little boy. Check it out. home.att.net/~hofhine/Samurai.htmlI’m thinking it took place during the Tokugawa Shogunate just before/after Admiral Perry and his US Navy squadron’s arrival or maybe up to when the new Japanese federal government ban people from carrying swords in public during the Meji Restoration.

That's awesome. I thought the ronin was dead forsure.

That's something else. What an enthralling story!
Maybe I missed it, but when did this take place?

Yeah, Ronin, you're giving us too much credit on dates from your historical info. Was this before or after YSS's time?

This was way after YSS time. The battle probably took place in early of mid 19th century Japan.
