I was online yesterday looking for korean movies and found "Legend Of Evil Lake" i looked and sounded intresting but i couldnt tell if it was one of those movies that sorta cheesy because in the movie they fight demon and monsters or somthing. If u seen the movie could u tell me if it was good?

When I tried to purchase the movie several months back, I had to wait a couple weeks only to receive word that YesAsia could no longer get it from their supplier. It costs a little bit more, but in the end I had to get a copy (with English subtitles) from AsianDB.com (where you'll find it under it's correct translated title Thousand Years Old Lake). I enjoyed Legend of the Evil Lake. It's a straight-forward story that never tries to go overboard with details or excessive CGI. The special effects are top-notch, the cinematogrophy is absolutely gorgeous, and the music is stunning. At times the romance aspect feels a little over done, but it's not any worse than Bichunmoo; after all, the driving purpose for the main hero is to save their love. Actor Jeong Jun Ho has a great medieval look, and the film definitely showcases the "warrior spirit" of actor Lee Han Garl. This was model-turned-actress Kim Hyo Jin's first role, but I think she did a decent job. My full review for anyone who cares can be read here: www.livejournal.com/community/korean_cinema/51746.html

Me, too. It sounds a lot like Jahalang from Bichunmoo, which also is another nice name. Although I like the sound of Lee Han Garl's character name best: Talwi. Quite different!
