I happened to flip on the set and this show was on. It showed a young woman lecturing an older (not old, just older) woman, whom I soon recognized as Lady Han from DJG (she looked worried and sad). Then, the father of My-ryung on Yellow Hankie walked in, and the young girl addressed him as Apa. I did not like that girl. She said something to him, and he looked worried, too.
Then, they showed Mr Suh's wife/Yu-Kyung's mom (Mal-bong) from OMR, who was pacing the floor--looking worried, natch--and yelling at her son, who was trying to do his homework. Then, they cut (sorry about the pun) to an operating room, with a bloody operation with about 8 surgeons.
Does anyone know this show? I was just so surprised to see "Lady Han" in a modern role.

I never got to see DJG, but My-ryung’s dad (Jang Yong) and OMR’s Mal-bong (Kim Ja Ok) are currently appearing in a MBC daily drama called “Be Strong, Geum-soon!” Actor Jang Yong plays a surgeon in this drama, so I’m pretty sure it’s the same show you’re watching in Chicago. I don’t think it’s been English-subtitled anywhere, but the California people who’ve been struggling with this Korean-only show seem to be wildly enthusiastic about it. Thank you, thank you, Mikey! I wish it was English subbed, or that my dumb head could absorb Korean faster--it does look interesting. Sigh.

Well, if you want to know what's happening, just ask but this show replaced (not sure what the title is... sorry!) some show about a female shaman. It airs every weekday around 4:00 p.m? or 4:30 p.m. because yesterday it aired around 4:30 but on other days it aired around 4:00. Sorry, this is confusing me too so if you have any questions just ask me.

a person, you are a person indeed; thank you. However, after I thought about it, I realized I would not be able to watch very much of it anyway, since the TV that gets reception for Korean shows is located in my boss's office. He tolerates me taping the other shows because they're not on during the day, and he already knows what times the subtitled things are on and will be grumpy indeed if I'm rushing in and out changing tapes. HOWEVER, if I am able to squeeze in some viewing of some episodes (he's gone sometimes), and I can't tell what's going on, I'll be sure to ask you. (Wow. I sound ki-na rude there. I'm sorry, I hate when I try to be polite and it comes out rude. I just mean, I don't think I'll be able to watch it after all, but thank you for your very kind offer. ) Bo
