Has anyone watched this drama before? I haven't watched it, but it's a bittersweet, sad drama taking place in Autumn. The only other seasonal drama I watched was Winter Love Song. I have the basic synopsis about the drama though:
Joon-suh and Eun-suh grew up as brother and sister in a happy, loving environment. Things get ugly about 14 years later when the family find out that Eun-suh is not Joon-suh's biological sister. The truth is that Eun-suh and Joon-suh's real sister named Shin-ae were switched at birth. So Joon-suh and his parents leave Eun-suh, now cast out from the family, to go to the USA where Shin-ae is living. 9 years later, Joon-suh and his family return to Korea. Joon-suh and Eun-suh reunite and start to develop affectionate feelins for each other that soon turns into love. But both are hesitant because they grew up believing they were siblings. Things don't get any better when Joon-suh becomes engaged to a woman named Yoo-mi and Eun-suh wins the heart of a man named Tae-suk. Of course since it's a bittersweet, teary drama....one of the siblings (Eun-suh or Joon-suh) get very ill.

There was info on this elsewhere on the Other Dramas forum, my Lovely, if you want to dig around. If I remember correctly, it is part of a series by the director (or writer?) of Winter Sonata. There's one about Spring or Summer, too (clues, clues...)
Bo
PS - what is it with this guy and forbidden sibling love? Gack! ;D

~Sigh~ DH made me buy it (thought it was good), but I didn't want to because I cried from the first episode all the way to the last one. Ok, sobbed in MANY parts.
It's fine, but I just can't take all the sadness. The scenery is beautiful, but the acting is at times wooden. Not my favorite from this director.
Melissa
PS - Bo, they're not "blood" siblings.

Thanks, Bo and xelaevoli for the info ! Now I'm going to look for the Autumn in my Heart thread that was posted somewhere in this forum.

He also made a summer one caled Summer Scent. It has the guy Seong Sung Heon from Autmn fairy tale( another title for it...) I saw somewhere, I think it was koreanwiz that he wanted to make dramas for all the seasons.

if you haven't seen this movie, and are thinking about watching it, ......i say if you like sad movies, buy it, but other wise, this movie was too slow for me. plus the acting was very bad. not a movie i'd watch again and again. the music and scenery were very nice in the movie, but when i watch a movie, i look for substance, not scenery.

yep, i fully support Hannah's opinion. This show is certainly full of tears, one must have the tissue box beside... not to mention the bizarre storyline with someone dying.... the music is repetitive, as always in a drama.. and the scenery is so-so--in the city, save for a few episodes where they go into the country where the scenery is better but forbidden. nevertheless, the choice is solely up to you, lovely.

Thanks everyone for your input in the drama. I liked Winter Love Song, so I thought maybe Autumn in my Heart would be another good seasonal sad love story. I have read around already and found out the ending of the drama, so I think I'll spare my eyes from being cried out this time !

If you really want to know, I can give it to you in a nutshell.
BTW, my DH and I though the children in this show did the best acting - and they were in only for a few episodes before they "grew up."
I loved Winter Sonata and liked Summer Scent, but would NOT recommend buying this drama unless you really like very sad ( and poorly acted at times - by the adults) dramas. When I first saw it on TV, I watched it but knew it would never be one I'd want to buy...but DH didn't see it and thought it would be good...he agrees, a waste of money. Not one you'd want to watch over and over - unless you're depressed and just want to have a good cry.

I read that the ending went like this: * * * * * Ending Eun-suh is dying from leukemia. Joon-suh is by her side. Eun-suh ends up passing away. As for Joon-suh, he is devastated to have lost his love. He walks somewhere and an oncoming car or truck is coming his way. Instead of moving out of the way, he just blankly stares at the car/truck thinking only of his sadness and his beautiful Eun-suh who was taken away from him. He ends up getting killed instantly from the impact of the car accident. He awakens and finds himself in heaven (?) and reunited with his true love, Eun-suh. * * * * So is the correct ending?

wow, yepers, that's pretty much the ending.....but lovely dont' you like watching it first, rather than find out what happends? LOL ;D it's no fun knowing the ending!! but regardless, believe me, you will cry. man did i cry, even though I was not that into it. i did not cry in the begining or middle as much, it was toward the ending. I really don't like movies that show someone dying. it makes you feel horrible. There's nothing worse than seeing someone die. what's up with korean dramas doing this? it's no fun!!!!

Note by Moderator: OUVR, you have to be more careful about spoilers. Did you notice how Lovely made the text black to conceal the ending? And then you just blurt it out here. I've fixed your post, but please, be more careful about this. Not everyone wants to know the end. - Bo
hey...the ending was, as i recollect,
yep..she and her leukaemia. he and the accident. but the heaven part,....i dont think it was shown. unless it was alluded, making one believe that...
anyhow, not so wonderful ending either.

It's okay that I ruined the ending myself ;D. I know it's a sad drama and I don't think I'll put myself thru it anymore so that's why I went around searching for the ending. I'm shocked that Joon-suh died too. But he truly loved Eun-suh. I guess he's saying that he doesn't want to live his life without Eun-suh so he would rather die to be with her.

Yeah, I know what you mean about these dramas being so sad, you can only take in so much. My best friend once asked me a couple of days ago if it was healty that i kept watching these korean dramas, cause everytime i talked to her I would tell her how much i cried. lol ;D
I really think it's pathetic though, that he wanted to die, just because his love was gone. i know anyone would feel broken hearted, but to just kill himself, is a shame. it kind of ruined the ending for me, because it made the whole love story feel like it was empty...like the love was waisted, because now the 2 people who sustained it are both gone.

Now that I think about Autumn in my Heart, have any of you seen the American movie, A Walk To Remember? It's about a young couple in-love (just like Eun-suh and Joon-suh), but the girl named Jamie (played by Mandy Moore) has leukemia (just like Eun-suh) and well....I won't say the ending just in case there are those who haven't seen it yet.
