OF all the characters on the "phoenix"the only one that kept me viewing all the episodes was mi-ran.
I didn't care what happened to any other character,I just wanted her to come to her senses and marry the driver, for some reason in my mind she was the most deserving of sympathy."if love doesn't knock you down it will make you do funny things standing up."
anyway,
mi-ran: annyeong-hi gaseyo
I know it is not the right korean words for what I want to express but it is the closest that I could come up with.

OF all the characters on the "phoenix"the only one that kept me viewing all the episodes was mi-ran. Same for me. In the begining Mi-ran was the only reason to watch, I had to see what crazy thing she did next. I can't believe Ji-eun was crying over her, though! I mean, she just shot you in the arm! Why sit there sobbing her name? I'm not saying she should have done a little happy dance or anything, but I wouldn't have been able to sob mournfully over someone who tried to kill me the night before. Call me bitter. And that was a nice little advertisement for Stila cosmetics! "Look beautiful 'til the very end with Stila cosmetics!" "Stila: the official makeup of suicidal rich girls." I love Stila, but it's too expensive. Why end your life when you have all that great makeup to play with?! I guess lip gloss doesn't bring you happiness.

So funny! I was thinking, if she drank wine and poisoned herself, WHAT POISON sends you peacefully to sleep and in the same position you laid down in? No cramps, seizures, barfing, etc.? Just about any drug that you swallow that'll kill you will first seriously disturb your maquillage, let alone your sheets and designer outfit.
Totally! And such a pretty face to put it on. That lip gloss was weird, though. At first I thought she was giving herself some sort of injection, but then I realized what it was. And she doesn't need collagen injections, so . . .

Heehee! I'm sure that would up their market share. Stila is so pretty though.
I read this chick book (burghdorf blondes i think) recently where the chick decided that she had to kill herself, so she put on all her makeup and her stilettos and meant to put on a robe but forgot!! Much more embarrassing; I'm glad that Mi-ran remembered to clothe herself.
I know that your question was rhetorical, but in that scene when they focused on the wine glass, I think they showed a piece of waxed paper; that's probably where her poison was kept. I didn't see any label on it so I'm not sure if there's a hint there as to what she took.

Yes, I saw that--it looked yellowish, didn't it? That color made me wonder if we were supposed to know what it was. I know that other countries prefer to take medicine in different forms; I've heard that, while we and the British like pills, the French prefer medicine in suppository form (!), so maybe Koreans like powders.
Or maybe it was that orange Cheez flavoring, and she decided that since she was dying anyway, she could now eat all the Cheez Doodles she wanted, and that's what was left over after she was done.
Do we all think that Mi-ran will die from her suicide attempt? I know from the preview (no spoilers here) that we probably get to see some of her thoughts as she's drifting, so maybe she makes it after all? Probably not, though. I think one averted suicide per daruma should be the maximum allowed, and any other suicides should have to be successful.

Hear hear! She's almost died, what, eighty times? The fire, the drowning (twice, once when she was pretending she couldn't walk), the cutting with glass, and this. Okay, that's only five, and the first drowning was before she started threatening suicide, but still. And, ugh! Powder form! The two types of medicine I hate most are a) powders and b) liquids. They taste disgusting. I almost understand the French liking suppositories because then they have to taste nothing at all. Still I think it would be a bit uncomfortable , so I'm sticking with pills.
