Ha! I thought that scene where Hojin was counseling Yuh to not be so complacent with Bok-ja was funny. Especially because after he gave her that advice he still light up whenever she suggested they go someplace. Especially funny was that she was able to see right threw him, "You can't use my own lines against me!" For more that I like the comic relief these two bring, I really hope she ends up w/Hojin, the young kid just doesn't deserve her...or does he? We'll see.

Yu just looked too funny during that scene. And it was his bad luck - the day that he decided to start turning her down was the day that she actually asked him to go somewhere with her! In all the previous episodes, it was always him tagging along and her just putting up with it.
Why hasn't Ho-jin ever asked her out? Maybe so they could have some solely-platonic friends in the drama....

Platonic would be OK, but it would make sense if these two (Bok-ja & Ho-jin) hooked up romantically, at some point. They both are normal (so far) and loyal (so far) and have known each other for at least 10 years (so far). And it appears they are fairly safe drivers, too (so far).

Actually, maybe this is just my uneducated Western eye, but Ho-jin doesn't look 100% Korean to me, either! I must be wrong. I mean, there is such a wide variety in the Korean faces I see on TV and in real life, but he just looks unusual. Very nice-looking, though. I like him for Bok-ja, too.

It is agreed then: Ho-jin is a cutie too!

I thought the scene where Yuh was teaching Bok-ja how to drive was hilarious! All their scenes together are hilarious! I thought Bok-ja knew how to do everything, but she needs Yuh for driving lessons. Just like 10 years ago, Bok-ja gave Yuh math lessons and now Yuh is giving Bok-ja driving lessons. Although Bok-ja and Ho-jin would make a nice couple, I think she has more chemistry with Yuh because they've been through a lot together.

And it appears they are fairly safe drivers, too (so far). Too funny! ;D ;D ;D That made me laugh out loud! Don't teach her to drive, Ho-jin! Driving always leads to destruction in The Phoenix.

The actress that plays Boka-Ja, does she do other things besides act? I thought I heard that she was a singer too.

Jenny-- I agree, that little chubby orange is really cute -----and especially because Will used to refer to Ji-eun as an "orange lady" when they were first together. (I think she was allergic to oranges or was he referring to her level in society? I never really understood his nickname for her.) Can anyone shed some light here?

Yes, she is allergic to oranges, but as I recall, the word "orange" also means kind of a yuppie type. That's what the explanation in the subtitles implied.

I forgot Ji-eun is allergic to oranges! Uh-oh, don't let her get a whiff of my avatar! Thanks guys, isn't he adorable? That's Mikan Bouya, or Orange Boy. He's from Sanrio's San-x line of characters. I just bought the cutest cell phone mascot, it is a terrycloth plush Orange Boy, and ever since I've been crazy for the character. I bet Mi-ran would like him, too!

Jenny, where do you find things from the San-x line? I don't ever see them in the Sanrio store downtown, and it looks like it would be a fun collection to browse.

San-x is a lot of fun! This web site has many of the San-x characters: www.kawaiigifts.com/home.html. This is where I got my cell phone mascot. They have lots of cute stationary too. You won't believe what they can make into a character! There's Mr. Sushi Rice, Yogurt Guy, Relax Bear - it's so funny! This is my new favorite web site (after this fan club, of course!).

I guess this is a "General" topic now, but anyway. . . Hey, that website answered a question I had this very morning: "What is this character on the coin-purse-on-a-rope my friend gave me?" Answer: Pucca!! There are many cute characters there. I like Mariomoco Chan, whatever he is*! Thanks. *just looked again and found out: Algae Boy! PERFECT for me--weird AND cute!
