I know this might be deleted but I just had to share. Please take the time to watch this short video and remember all those that died. Forward it to all. Never Forget. www.catsprn.com/heroes.htmLater, Gman

UKfan: Thank you (the UK) for your support.
djanggum: September 11, 2001 is history. 2945 men and women died that day. Not only Americans but people from all over the world. It was not only an attack on America but a attack on all civilized nations. 9-11-01 changed the world.
Later, Gman

djanggum: What I ment is that we are living in some interesting times. Real history. 9-11 was a real turning point int he future of this country and the rest of the world. For us "older" folks we struggled with the Cold War and now you/we will struggle with the rise of a nuke armed militant Middle East.
10th grade ? That makes you 16-17 years old ?... right ? Thinking at all the historical things you "missed" makes me feel real old. I guess it is up to you and future generations to make history now. Good luck !!

Well, like more folks I have been watching a few documentary programmes last evening about 911 and issues connected with 911. One of the most stupid comments a muslim fundamentalist made was (before anyone starts shouting, I have nothing against muslims or the Islam faith - a lot of my friends are muslims) the whole "thing" (terrorism) will stop when everyone accepts the muslim faith! I blew my top! This is blackmail. I am happy with my faith thank you very much, if the Islam is so perfect, why is terrorism being promoted, encouraged and carried out in the name of the Islamic faith?? Get real my friends, this world doesn't belong to the muslim fundamentalists!!! Not is a billion years! ukfan

Okay, ukfan, you have always seemed like a reasonable person to me and I know you don't want to be inflammatory. Can't you dismiss the comment of this one idiot? Most muslims have no such beliefs, as you well know. There are always fundamentalists (although again not all of them) of any faith who want to force it on everyone in the world (Spanish Inquisition, anyone?). I prefer to think this person is misled, addled and not a good representation of Muslims. Also, I'm not sure if it's how you relayed it, but it almost seems like he's saying, "accept" as in "tolerate"--if you accept our faith, we'll accept yours. Even if he didn't mean that, that's what he gets from me, just as every other reasonable religious person gets that from me.

Even if he didn't mean that, that's what he gets from me, just as every other reasonable religious person gets that from me. Bo Hi Bo Thank you for your comment, please let me clarify a few points I was trying to make. 1. It wasn't my intention to be inflammatory as far as this subject is concerned or at least being insensitive as thousands of folks have been directly affected by the actions of muslim fundamentalists in your country and mine. I was merely expanding the discussion for anyone who care about what is happening in today's world to voice his or her views and opinions. I think I can safely say, the chance of muslim fundamentalists visiting this board is less than zero but I certainly welcome muslims to take part in this discussion. 2. Muslim fundamentalists are NOT muslims! Whilst the Islamic faith represents peace, the muslim fundamentalists hijacked the Islamic faith and had it intepreted to suit their needs. Incidently, I discuss this issue with my muslim friends very frequently and they feel helpless in this regards. 3. The remark I mentioned previously was made by a well known muslim fundamentalist, and to clarify what he said, "For us (muslim fundamentalists) to stop our missions, you (the West and non muslims) must become muslims. There is only one God and he is Allah" I think his message and view is very clear don't you? 4. I agree muslim fundamentalists are completely brainwashed and misled by XXXX and to ignore them is asking for more deaths and destructions in the free world. Without pointing fingers, I think the West and that includes the US didn't pay sufficient attention to this group of people and as they say, the rest is history. My view is let's prevent history from repeating itself. Incidently it nearly happen again a few weeks ago had it not been the British security forces who managed to stop another 911 just in time. Personally, I don't think we can let our guards down and we must do everything to not only prevent futher deaths and destruction but we must find ways to change their way of thinking which is completely incomprehensible! I think I stop now before someone ask, "What has all this got to do with k-dramas?" ;D NB. I know this post is completely off topic so delete it if you must! ukfan

I'm not going to delete it. I am going to caution, however, that these types of discussions can get entirely out of hand and this is, after all, a drama discussion board. So everyone, please be brief. We all feel terrible about 9/11, we all hope to prevent it from happening again, we all disagree on how to do that. But we can accept that everyone here wants it not to happen again. Anywhere.
Be well, Bo

UKfan: People should speak out but places like this (with all due respect) have very few people to make a difference. I post up because I want to help educate the young skulls (many who are in countries that do not get "all" the news) and remind everybody that life is not all happy, happy, joy, joy.
Anyhow, DJG is still playing. This next weekend are the last dozen or so episodes. Since I'm not reading as much I'm able to look at the the backgrounds and faces more. Kind of fun to notice the few things that I missed the first time around.
Take care my subversive friend, Gman

Yes, yes, gman, you are the light and the power... People can look anywhere to find out "life is not all happy, happy, joy, joy..." They come here to get some relief from that. So lighten up, will you?
