lol now there are so many threads like this... 1) There are so many lessons obtained from this drama 2) The director has a bright sense in making the drama come alive. (His previous works, Hur Joon and Sang Do were hits too... In fact, Hur Joon is the nation's most popular drama in history... over 60% in ratings!!!) 3) The casting was wonderful. LYA and JJH were adorable ^^ 4) The drama was not at all violent or sexual and was fit to watch for people of all ages. 5) People were interested in Korea's history and the cooking... I thought the drama has an excellent display of Korea's foods. yum~ I'm watching DJG again (although it's been 3 years since I first watched it... heh*) with my family... My dad keeps shouting out at random scenes, saying in korean, "DJG is a masterpiece! No wonder it's so popular in other countries." At first, it's good to hear that my dad (who knows practically everything -_-) thinks that DJG is a wonderful drama, but he says it atleast 20 times per show..... (i counted...) it is a bit annoying... haha

My top 5 of reasons would have to be: 1) Min Jong-Ho 2) Min Jong-Ho 3) Min Jong-Ho 4) Min Jong-Ho 5) Min Jong-Ho ;D Just kidding of course, there's more to Dae Jang Geum than the character played by Ji Jin-Hee. But he's the reason I started watching and I haven't been disappointed
