(1)... I missed the entire first half and didn't start watching till JG was exiled to Jeju. If DJG comes out on DVD with subtitles, I will have to buy it and a DVD player... (2) Hey, where the heck is Jeju Island supposed to be in relation to the palace? I know where Jeju is, and it's REALLY far offshore (south) off mainland Korea. So how is it Sir Min was able to go back and forth between JG and the palace in last weekend's episodes? I suppose the answer is that she wasn't there, so where in heck was she? I thought they kept saying Jeju. ... (3) Are you saying that JG accidentally killed her abuji?L. ANSWER: 1. Get a DVD player, girl! They are SO VERY CHEAP. We get to watch all sorts of cool stuff with ours, and they have commentary, and oh, just get one. You'll probably spend a lot more getting "DJG" on disk than you will for the DVD player itself. 2. Jeju is in the same place it always was. Did you see the show where Min was at Jeju and had to go with the shipment of horses to protect them from Japanese pirates? And where Mr Gaung got seasick? That's because it was a long, rough, trip, not a honeymoon destination like now! Sir Min did NOT go back and forth to Jeju, because JG was not there. She was at the herb garden (where she was exiled by Lady Han long ago for a previous infraction, and where she rescued her present friend, Sir Jung the doctor, from his drunken stupor--he rescued JG from a bad situation, too)--no one goes there except minor criminals being punished. The other lady physician (name escapes me) followed JG from Jeju (JG Jeju JG Jeju Jeju JG JG JG! hahaha) to the palace, but she refuses to rejoin the palace pharmacy, even though they want her to, because she prefers to help the humble people. 3. I'm not sure about the details, but JG inadvertently caused her father's death, by betraying him as an ex-palace guard when he was in danger (she called this out when she had been taught never to reveal it, something like, "Leave my father alone! He is a palace guard, you bad guys!"). He had been involved in a plot against the previous queen, and had escaped with his life as well as rescuing JG's mother from the wrath of the Chois, who thought they had poisoned her. That's why the Chois are so obsessed with JG, they keep trying to kill off this family, and they keep popping up in the middle of the Chois' comfortable, evil lives. Bo

I didn't trust Young-ro at all- I didn't believe she would honestly turn loyal to Lady Lee. More likely the Chois told her to try to infiltrate Lady Lee's inner circle to try to undermine things. Walter, I stand in awe. Your ability to think of twisty-plots rivals Lady Choi--oh, I mean Rainbow Hag--no, I mean Lady Choi... Bo PS - I don't think she was infiltrating *or* "turning loyal"--I think she was trying to save herself. 'Cause she's a RAT.

The shoulder dance was one of my favorite scenes recently.......it was so funny, not to mention that it was great to see Mrs. Gaung smile!!!! We almost never see her smile, because she's usually scolding, chiding, hitting, accusing, etc. the lovable, but misguided Mr. Gaung. She is quite pretty, so seeing her smile was a nice change! The two of them lying down together under that big comforter cracks me up, too!!

That's for sure! A fellow fan was speculating a while back of how in the world Mrs. Gaung could ever have gotten to be "expecting" !! (during the time JG was in Jeju).

She's always pushing him away. Perhaps it was when he hugged her. Isn't that how people get pregnant in Korea? That's how they get pregnant on all the daily dramas. Bo

How people get pregnant in Korea? They picked up their kids under a bridge. ;D That's how Korean parents are saying to their children about childbirth. Maybe, storks were unemployed here in Korea.

Maybe, storks were unemployed here in Korea. lol!! ;D Interesting, the part about picking children up from "under the bridge." When I was living in Southeast Asia, I learned that in the first half of 20th century, the mixed-race children born of European colonial fathers and Southeast Asian mothers, especially in rural areas, were often referred to as "children under the bridge."

PS - I don't think she was infiltrating *or* "turning loyal"--I think she was trying to save herself. 'Cause she's a RAT. I watched the tape last night, and I think I was wrong and you're right on this- she saw the Chois falling and she was just trying to save herself at all costs. She has no loyalty or dignity, so when she gets cornered she'll start spilling the beans on everyone

Saturday was the first time I saw them dance and I think it was so cute. That is the happiest I have seen her. I think they express what JG feels but can't express. JG is finally showing all kinds of emotions now instead of surpressing them as she did before.
