Okay, guys, I think we're getting a little out of control here with what we consider a "spoiler". If you are watching in Chicago, and an episode has aired in Chicago, you can safely discuss it without "spoiling" it for someone who happens to watch only the Monday/Tuesday re-airings. As one of those people, I appreciate your consideration. It's very refreshing. However, if the show has aired in Chicago, you should feel free to discuss it--anyone in Chicago (such as myself) who wants to avoid knowing about the show until after they see an AM airing can just avoid the board until they DO see it (but I won't because I'm a moderator--LOL), it's their responsibility. Please don't worry so much--rather, if you know what's supposed to happen at the end of the series, or in a few weeks, or even NEXT week, we don't want to know THOSE THINGS. It's becoming difficult to tell who's actually got a "spoiler" and who is just being extra careful for AM viewers' sakes. Let us take care of ourselves.
Am I clear? It's just getting so awkward here, let's relax a little. Only note a "SPOILER" in the heading (or post) if you are discussing episodes LATER than Chicago evening airings.

Bo i think i've been the main instigator of the "spoiler" thing... i think what's been going on lately -- people adding the date of the episode in the subject line, is helpful enough, so that it gives people the opportunity to avoid it. Or possibly more helpful, say "Episode 42"...so people on different schedules shuld know wassup. But i feel once that has been done, to give people a chance, then whatever people want to discuss regardign the episode -- great. I'm also active on TrekBBS.com, and star Trek fans are real particular about that stuff, since people are on different schedules. i don't mean to censor anything , just reasonably give people a chance to watch the show first. Thanks --jp-- p.s. Thanks for all those who have given helpful background info on the show -- it's great!

Actually, JP, I've been pretty vocal about that, too, I don't think you need worry about being overbearing ;D. It's not a bad thing, people being careful about spoilers, but I think it's just gone a little too far. I agree about the background info. It's been extremely helpful, but my post was not directed to those people because they are, thankfully, being reasonable and careful. It's the Chicago people who need to loosen up with each other, IMHO. Bo

Hello,
I have been previously reading this board before I have joined it. I have realized that there are no such things as "spoilers". However, I do believe that when a summary is given or a topic is being discussed on a certain episode, the episode number is rarely given. I do wish that it would be clarified.
Thank you,

I'm not sure why you think there is no such thing as a "spoiler," but almost everyone on this board and most of the Internet community would disagree with you. A spoiler may be defined differently on every board, however, and on this board, the consensus seems to be that if it hasn't shown in Chicago (the home base of this board), then if you hint or give specific information, you are posting a spoiler. And we (you may think I just mean me, but you would be incorrect) don't like spoilers. I would refine that to say if it showed in the evening, but has not yet shown in the morning, the board members should feel free to discuss it without a lot of "spoiler" warnings. I got a good lecture from Jade on that on the Yellow Hankie boards when I first posted here, and I think she was right. However, if it makes people more comfortable to post the episode number or date (because almost no one notices the ep number) in their subject line, I won't complaint about it. It would[/] be nice if they'd put a real subject line, such as "Ep. 5/XX, queen's reaction," rather than, say, EPISODE 5/XX, SPOILER. That gives everyone no choice but to read the thing to find out what the subject is, and that seems counterproductive to me.

But you are right, people will disagree with me and thank you for correcting me. I was thinking of a different type of a spoiler, but it was all clarified.
