Hi. I have a couple questions about the uniform of the physician ladies at the royal pharmacy ...
1) Why is JG still wearing a pink top? I thought they were all promoted to full physician ladies, and sometimes she is wearing the white top of the higher ranked physician ladies, but then they also show her wearing the pink again.
2) Are they wearing silk or cotton, or does it vary from woman to woman? (Or possibly hemp, which I think would be more historically accurate, or am I off base?)

However, her dress in JeJu island and her foster mother's cloth seem to be made up of cotton. Higer classes are usually wearing silk. |

Hi Choko. I know you posted a whole series of links a while back detailing the range of dresses and hairstyles for the Court Ladies of the Joseon dynasty. I remember the link to the video clip from Myeong-seong Wanghu (Last Empress/Lost Empire) where you noted that the hairstyle had changed (no more up-braided do with elaborate "pillows" and ornaments--instead a simpler pulled-back and bun with single pendant through it). When did this change in hair protocol begin and what was the motivation/reason behind it?
