Hello all, I've just learned from a Korean newspaper that there are some non-Korean fans of DGJ in the States, and the web search led me to this forum. So it IS true! Well, as a Korean national who lives in the USA and a fan of DGJ, I am glad to know that many people are interested in this show. I've already finished all 54 episodes and I think I know a bit more about Korean stuff than some of you Hope I can help with some of your future questions. By the way, to me, the lead actress (Lee, Young Ae) is the prettiest Korean actress I've ever seen, although she's not the "best" actress. Maybe it's just me. ;D Enjoy! Jon

Yes, there are quite a few of us non-Koreans who are besotted by this tale of virtue, struggle, and vindication (and all the pomp and circumstance of the Jeoson royal court, not to mention imperial kitchen! ;D) that is DJG. And mind you, some of us watch it w.out subtitles (thanx to budget-crunching at our local Korean tv stations ;D) and w/out any working knowledge of the Korean language. Looking forward to your cultural insights and reactions to the stuff we discuss .

We're very excited to hear from you and getting your insights. The one thing i would ask is that if you're talking about the show from about episode 38 on (when Jang-Geum becomes a physician lady), in the subject, please add the word "spoiler". That way, if someone who hasn't seen the episode yet can choose to avoid it. THANKS for being here, and we look forward to hearing from you! --jp--

That way, if someone who hasn't seen the episode yet can choose to avoid it. Ditto on that (thanks, JP). I would also ask that you NOT imbed spoilers in non-spoiler discussions, but rather, if possible, make them separate threads on the forum. (We're pretty rabid here about spoilers. ) You can probably tell from our discussions which point we'll be at in the drama. And I add my welcome, Jon. Look forward to talking with you. Bo

When i showed my wife, she was so excited (and surprised!) Woo-hoo! Now, if we could only find it in a newspaper, we could show it off to our friends....
