My husband was looking to see if it was subtitled in English (for me, he's Korean and doesn't need it subtitled! LOL) anywhere and of course, it isn't. So he had me write to YesAsia and ask them if they would subtitle it in English.
This is their reply to me: ~~~~~~~~ Hello, Thank you for contacting YesAsia.com. I am currently trying to evaluate whether enough people in the US would be interested in buying Dae Jang Geum. I have heard great things about it. I think it has 54 episodes... Do you think many people would like to see it with English subtitles? Thanks, Tom
~~~~~~~~~~~ My husband would buy the show NOW except that there aren't English subtitles. Sooooo, if enough of you LOVE the show and would buy it, PLEASE write to Yes Asia and ask them to subtitle it in English!
Many thanks! (tom@yesasia.com is who wrote to me.)
Do you realize selling it by parts/3 it is now about $200.
Actually, I believe it's four parts and yes, it's pretty expensive. But if you divide it by shows it's pretty reasonable. Think about how much we pay for one movie DVD, if you look at it that way, it's really not that bad. (OK, rationalizing here! LOL) Maybe they would make it one complete set (like Damo) instead of four individual sets. If no one's interested, I guess it isn't in YesAsia's best interest to subtitle it. BUT, if anyone IS interested, please let them know. Thanks! Melissa
There are extras thrown in with the boxed sets. Set number two comes with an accupuncture set. Now, where are those meridians?
What if we started a petition for it? Even now I'm considering to buy all four dvd sets, but I would prefer them subtitled.
