THANKS for giving us the "DVD special feature" version of Jang-geum!
The extras really helped me -- i didn't know the show took place at he same time as Chang Nok Soo (at least episode 2).
i would not have been able to figure that out (i think) without it.
Also, my wife is a new fan as well! The extra work has helped us!
The one thing -- we didn't get what was going on regarding the character "ho", and what was meant by Jang-geum being the third. Wil we find out later?
Thanks again -- and keep up the great work!

I thought of the three women were of course the queen, the woman who he ended up marrying and the third being his daughter. The third woman who have to be his daughter because of her character you can't but help but like her and through our knowledge of how the story will go we know she will become a physician and will save people. However if we were them, that third woman would be hard to figure out especially if we were her parents. There would be an emotional involvement with her that would make us somewhat blind to the idea that she may be that third woman. Also, this just came to mind. I remember the priest was telling the man that the third woman would be the cause of his death and in fact jang-geum did indeed bring about his arrest unknowingly she was just trying to help her father but ended up making it worse for him and eventually her mother.

[glow=red,2,300]Michael[/glow] THANKS for giving us the "DVD special feature" version of Jang-geum! JP, I got a kick out of that one: " DVD special feature " version.. And you are welcome. I'm only trying to use common sense to help viewers understand as much as possible what's going on in the drama. I'm only little saddened by the fact that station decided to cut up here and there rather thoughtlessly to leave time for those (cough) advertisements. If I can find time, I'm even thinking of making an online version of this available exclusively for the fans here. But that thought flashed into my head when I saw how much and what they were cutting out ("how uncaring?!") and started to dim when I checked my schedule book again.. <grin> For aforementioned reasons, I'll try to make the subtitle "slides" file available online for you folks. It's only a matter of installing a small program and viewing each subtitle slide. It'll be available on kbc28.tv/tgj soon. Actually, it's available now. I just added them while writing this.. (whew that was easy.)

There have been several threads on subtitle quality. We all agree that the shows that Michael works on are fantastic. But I didn't know how fantastic until I started watching the "Hotelier" DVD set I got off e-bay. The quality of the video & audio is excellent. But man, the subtitles are horrible. This was not some boot-leg version either. Sometimes the subtitles make no sense whatsoever. My original appreciation for the presentations on channel 28 has doubled!! Thanks.

Michael, from the accolades it is apparent you are the real-life K-drama hero for Chicago fans. Cheers!
