Could someone give me a recap, please? A fuse blew in my apt yesterday morning and I forgot to reset the vcr, so I missed the episode. For reference, when last I saw Hye-sung, he had just arrived at his mom's house and Yu-kyung called. The episode ended with Keum-ja telling her, "why would he be here?" Then a comic version of the corny piano "outro" that I've never heard before. (Comic version because, of course, any plot involving Hye-sung cannot be allowed to be perceived as wholly serious and thus receives a tongue-in-cheek musical accompaniment. Nice touch.)
Thank you in advance, whatever kind soul pitches in to tell me what happened in the next episode!!
Hey, what a coincidence...I missed the beginning of ep. 156, too. I got home late for the evening ep. so i planned on watching the next morning, but i overslept... I'd appreciate too if someone can recap..

Here is what I remember:
After hanging up w/her MIL (by the way she told Keumja that HS was just walking in the door), YK calls HS and demands to know where he is, he says he just walked in to his mom's house. Since she was obviously caught in a lie, she asks him what he told his mother, he says he told her the truth. She tells him he better come home otherwise she'll really be mad.
Then I think we see HR & HK in their apartment, she is still working and he wants to go to sleep, but he doesn't want to go to sleep w/out her. He carries her off of the couch and into the bed (turns off her alarm) and she urges him to keep trying to appease his aunt. The next day she wakes up late and pretends to be mad at HK for shutting of her alarm. She stops by her mom's and lets her know she'll be staying w/her in laws. KJ tells her to be good to grandma, she agrees and also asks where her father is. KJ says he's running some errands but before that had told Taeho the same thing so she ends up being discovered when she has no explanation as to why he didn't come home the night before. She tells them the truth and HR and TH go see him.
HR gets icy treatment from IH and asks Soonyoung not to rush things that things will get better in time.
HK goes to visit KJ at the restaurant and KJ is badmouthing HS saying he doesn't know how good he has it, and that YK is right in being angry. YK realizes she might have been too harsh and defends him but KJ won't hear of it.
Yugin and MJ are tested and doctor says everything is okay, that she needs to be less stressed out about having a baby. She also has to learn to count the days when she's ovulating (funny scene where she is taking her temperature and MJ asks if it's really true that her body temp. changes-she says yes and that their code phrase for knowing when they should do it "It's today" she's also working on getting both her Mom and GIL to the sauna so they can patch things up.
That's all I remember right now. Oh and of course, YK says she can't raise their children by herself and dumps baby & Mi-joo on him.
Grandparents from WML: "Are my words dog's nose to you?"
She also has to learn to count the days when she's ovulating (funny scene where she is taking her temperature and MJ asks if it's really true that her body temp. changes-she says yes and that their code phrase for knowing when they should do it "It's today"
This is so funny to me. Our little Min-jae, who a year ago probably knew nothing about how women's bodies work, is now involved in the ovulation watch. (As it should be under the circumstances, of course.) Sounds like he's handling it well. This little subplot is pretty modern and daring for OMR, by the way!
So, are we going to be treated to an embarrassing scene wherein Yu-jin is forced to use the code phrase in front of others and they figure out exactly what it means? ;D I'm sure all the in-laws will then shove them toward the bedroom and wait around for several days with bated breath as Yu-jin takes the series of home pregnancy tests they foist upon her.
Can't end the drama until the baby's in the karma.
(I just don't think I get the attention I deserve.)
From Dae Jang-geum: Sun-dol: "Are you trying to dry me up and kill me? Why do you say the same things over and over every day? Rather, come and hit me once! Aigu!" But then: Dr. Lazarus: "By Grabthar's hammer, by the suns of Warvan... You shall be avenged."
