Was there anyone out there that did NOT shed a few tears at last night's episode? It was so touching when MJ went to hug HK after hearing the terrrible news he has been carrying around. Then at the very end when HK brought the wine into MJ's old room and called him big brother...it was like a dark cloud had been lifted from MJ. I'm sure there will be much trouble ahead for both of them, but at least now they know they aren't alone. I don't think even grandma can break the bond that the brothers have finally made.

I was kinda too distracted by his "that means I should hate you and mother too" comment to be moved to tears. For more that the writers try to make him seem like this really nice guy, I just can't get past his arrogant statements sometimes. Maybe I just don't like the way this actor plays him. I think I felt more able to forgive Sangmin from YH than this guy. And we actually saw SM be evil to Yayoung while HK's actions are pretty much only implied. Does that make sense?

Yes, Galacticchick, I know where you’re coming from. I think that, in Sang-min’s case, his rehabilitation took place slowly, over the entire, six-month length of Yellow Handkerchief. And even then, it wasn’t until he became terminally ill that most of us began to finally feel some sympathy for the character. His redemption came about slowly and painfully – just as it might have in real life. On the other hand, I felt from the beginning that Hyun-kyu became a “good guy” just way too quickly to be believable. Almost overnight! That has always been one my big gripes about OMR. That being said, I was glad to finally see the two brothers acting like brothers.

Finally, one of them said it first. Maybe Grandma will come around too. Hopefully they grow closer. Not to sure with the return of HK's aunt. Thinking all efforts may be in vain with her return and the possible effect she may have.

mikey, I don't think that he "turned" so much as this is the kind of person that everyone knows he COULD be if he stopped being so angry. And, well, how could he not say those things about hating family when he's got that wacky grandma treating him like the prince of all and telling him, and everyone within earshot, how wonderful his mother was and what a bad person stepmom is. I mean she pretty much treats her like the dirt under her feet AND she acts like she hates her. So think about it, grandma hates so----why wouldn't or really SHOULDN'T he. It almost seems like his duty. (I personally don't get that but, oh well.
