Does anyone know the sir name of the young boy who came back from China with the father looking for his birth father? I'm trying to figure out what can of worms his presense will open, you all know how the writers love to throw twists and turns in these dramas.
Also, what was the excuse for the picture of this boy and father in the first place? It didn't look like a construction site in the background. I know the sister went to check construction in China for her father.
Inquiring minds want to know. ;D

The boy's name is Lee Ji-hong. I think Tae-il was Yu-kyung's guide over in China, and she probably met his "family" over there.
It'll be interesting to see Yu-kyung's reaction when Hye-sung introduces her to his father.

Wow, what a coincidence. Is the world really that small? I don't like how this drama recycles characters. It has too many things going on already. It's like 10lbs of crap in a 5lb bag and the bag is overflowing.

Thanks for the answer. I went and read a few spoilers on another board and it seems the boy may be connected to one of the main characters. Don't know who yet, but their saying either the landlord or someone in the Suh family.

I think we'll all find out why the boy is there sooner or later--let's just watch the show and find out. People who want spoilers can go looking for spoilers--I don't need to find them here where I don't expect them.

I think that was more speculation than anything else...they somehow made the connection because Yu-jin had pics of Tae-il with the child, so they wondered if somehow, there was some connection with the Suh family...could the kid's late mother be related in some way? Nobody knows for sure.....

I agree with you, Bo. I am aware of the existence of the other lists, and I know that some people like spoilers. I don't, and I don't like "hints" about spoilers, either. I'm the sort of person who likes to know almost nothing about a movie before I see it.
I don't mind speculation, but "informed speculation" (i.e., speculation based on what people in other cities who are ahead of us in the episode schedule say) is annoying. I prefer to experience the show in real time.

New York and Chicago seem to be watching the eps at the same time.....as for the so-called "informed speculation", I remember reading about them, and the people who posted them are recalling something that happened weeks before, when Keum-ja first picked up those photos in Yu-jin's room, which led to Tae-ho visiting China in search of his brother....What those folks discussed, was why did Yu-jin have pics of Tae-il in the first place....We all know he was staying with that child's mother, that Korean translator/guide, so some people merely speculated that this woman, whoever she was, might have some connection or relationship with the Suh family, but no one knows for sure......It doesn't seem to impact on the recent episodes coming from Korea.......

OK now, who remembers the name of Ji-Hong's father? I don't. But it was mentioned in an episode right after Tae-il came back from China, when he was going through the Seoul phone book trying to track him down.

I could be wrong but I think the boy's father's name was Lee.
