I was really struck by the expressions on charaters' faces in tonight's episode. Granny is trashing Min-jae, with barely concealed vindictive joy on her face. Mal-bong looks shocked, and Sun-young has a look of guilt and dismay.
We are starting to see just how bitter Min-jae is, though. His smile seems forced most of the time now. Tonight, when he was talking with Yu-jin, it was like he just remembered to smile when hearing something pleasant.

I think it's kind of like his defense mechanism. He smiles or laughs at the most uncomfortable times, kind of to cloack his discomfort or hurt. The only times when his smile seems genuine (although like you mentioned stiff) is when he is talking to Yu-jin.
I liked how he was telling her yesterday that he is so glad that she's in his life and that he considered it better than saying "I love you."

I love to see the changes in Min-jae and in Yu-jin now that they have each other. They seem like a very well-suited couple, besides looking great together (shallow old me!).
Different, equally shallow topic: I love the use of color, especially pink, in the clothes on this show. Yu-jin's coats and scarves and purses, and Soon-young's clothes are pretty. I don't like the way Soon-young's clothes actually look on her, but I like the wardrobe.
