When the show began, she was friendly with Sun-young, until she found she was In-hwan's wife. Now, she seems to not care for anyone in that family, except for In-hwan's dead first wife. She also seems to be on the outs with Mal-bong, since she found out Dong-pyo is In-hwan's friend, and perhaps this will extend to the rest of the Suh family. Then, we can expect her to object to So she'd be against the romances of all her family. This is bound to become a major issue as the show goes on. I wonder how Mr. Kim the landlord will figure into it all?

"I wonder how Mr. Kim the landlord will figure into it all?"
Maybe he's there for comic relief. I thought it was great when Kum-ja snapped back just as quickly (although very respectfully) to Mal-bong when she yelled at her for asking what she wanted her to buy at the market "when she doesn't know where she came from just now." Man, talk about an inability to multi-task. I bet she would definetly be one of those people who can't chew gum and walk at the same time. ;D
She always plays these meek on the outside steel on the inside characters, which I think are so perfect for her considering her very tiny physique.

"She always plays these meek on the outside steel on the inside characters, which I think are so perfect for her considering her very tiny physique. " So, true galaacticchick. I think though that we are all forgetting that Kum-ja was once rich. Maybe hyun-kyu's mom and kum-ja were friends? maybe she holds the family responsible for her death. that's why she's so arrogant, in a respectable way towards mal-bong.

Yoon Yeo Jung doesn't always play those types. In 'Whose My Love', remember, as Ha-na's mom, she was a sophisticated restauranteur.
She sure does seem to be in her element when she plays those meek/steely charaters, though.
Uh, she was the restauranteur, right? Or was that Jung Young Sook?

Oh, yeah, I remember that. Although she was still kind of a pushover when it came to Hana.
I also remember that all her clothes looked like they fit her too big. I think she kind of plays a more convincing "poor, hard-working" person than a classy, elegant woman. I don't know why.
Just like HK's dad would just never convince me as a poor guy. I know he did play one on To Be With You (never watched it, but I remember catching an episode and thinking how out of place he looked). He looks much better in a nicely tailored suit than in those floods he was always wearing in the series.
