My goodness, that mean grandma sure is a drama queen. When HK told her he was going to the U.S. she acted as if he had told her he only had 48 hours to live. I know he is her precious grandson, but come on!
And then when she starts yelling at Min-jae. The parents are really stupid, and I really get frustrated at their inability to see things for what they really are. If they had let MJ move out when he asked, they could have still met, and avoided such a painful confrontation. All that grandma ever does is rub in his face "all that she's done for him".
Why should the grandma be forced to accept MJ? Why should MJ be forced to accept grandma and HK?

I agree with you completely. When grandma didn't approve of the marriage (20 years ago!) they should have taken both boys and moved on their own. The family would have been healthier, the boys would probably act like real brothers by now, and maybe grandma would come to realize that she doesn't run the whole world. It's amazing that grandparents are allowed to act so mean, rude, and cruel. How can she expect respect when she doesn't show it to anyone, even her precious grandson? My mother lives with me and my grandmother always lived with us when I was growing up so I do know something about respecting elders. It isn't always easy, but the way that grandma acts it's a wonder they all don't just move away and leave her all alone to beat her breast about how misunderstood she is.
