Kyung Dae Seung does not fight the Archfiend because the Emperor summoned Archfiend. If Kyung Dae Seung fights the Archfiend that means Kyung Dae Seung is defying the Emperor.
When General Du meets with Yi Ui Min, they talk about their disgust of Kyung Dae Seung. Yi Ui Min tells General Du that in sarcastic mood that he will rebel against Koryo ( he actually does anyways). But the archfiend asks General Du, if i destroy the regime, what will you do?
When Yi Ui Min talks to the Central Committee, he tells the generals to get rid of Kyung Dae Seung's Righteous Army.
When Duduel is talking to Kyung Dae Seung, Dudeul is telling Kyung how much troops the Archfiend has, where they are located and when they will attack.

As I recall, it was the ass-kissing superior general (who heads up the military council, or whatever it's called) who met with Ui-min and felt him out about joining up with him against Kyung. Du had met with Ui-min earlier, but only to obtain his pledge of loyalty to the emperor. Sorry, though, I can't remember the general's name right now.

That would be General Cho, the guy who at one time was Ui Bang's No. 2 General (after Ui Min), but then took his promotion from the Chungs rather then defy them after Ui Bang's death. The guy has not been the same warrior since Ui Bang's death. Yes, it would make sense that General Cho (rather than General Du) would try to get Ui Min to team up against Dae Seung.
