I'm not sure what you mean. You want to find info on the members of the cast? Or do you simply want the actors names in english? Jang Hee Bin/Royal Story has a large cast so I only posted the names for the 3 main characters below.
Note: The characters name is first (on the left) with the actors real name second (to the right).
Jang Hee Bin - Kim Hae Soo King Sook Jong - Jeon Kwang Ryul Queen Min - Park Seon Young

can somebody tell me if royal story will be a historical drama? Jang Hee-Bin/Royal Story is set during the Joseon-dynasty and is the lifestory of a vivacious royal concubine who fights her way to the top, but is ultimately accused of treachery and executed by the Emperor.

So, you're saying it's more like Dae Jang-geum (which is not boring). Is this currently being shown in Korea? Bo

Was probably running parallel to Dawn of Empire (coz I saw them featured at the same K-drama awards show ;D). I know Hawaii fans petitioned KBFD to air it, but they said no. Hopefully they'll show another period series like the one Choko recommended.

I think 'Royal Story already ran here - Wednesday and Thursday mornings at ten, not subtitled. Maybe it's still running; I watched a couple of episodes, but it was too complex for me to follow without subs.

Jang Hee Bin is not a new historical drama. It ran for 100 episodes and it ended in October of last year in Korea. I'm surprised that it wasn't aired in Hawaii. This is a fairly popular story (which has been done more than once) and the KBS version got very good ratings in Korea. Kim Hae Soo who plays the role of Jang Hee Bin won the 'Grand Actor' award at the 2003 KBS Actor/Drama Awards for her role in this drama. As Soju mentioned this drama is currently being aired here in Chicago without subtitles. Also, to answer TheBo's question, yes Jang Hee Bin is more like Dae Jang Geum than AOW. Jang Hee Bin is aired Wednesday's and Thursday's by KBC at 10am. The story revolves around King Sook Jong (the 19th King of Chosun), Jang Hee Bin (imperial consort) and the Empress. official site: royalstory.kbs.co.kr

I am sooo jealous of you guyz in Chi-town. Our wonderful local Korean station in hnl has a sorta quota for female-themed period drama, not subtitled. The broadcast slot is pre-determined for Mon & Tue nites at 9:30 HST (@ 60 mins ea.), repeats Tue & Wed afternoons at 13:00. Two seasons ago, I watched Yeoin Cheonha/Women's World (dubbed Ladies of the Palace by kbfd) W/O subtitles and I tell you--I suffered the viewing ordeal almost as much as those royal concubines in the plot. ;D However, the experience was a shock-immersion into period K-drama, plus I was watching it concurrently with EWG which thankfully was subtitled and provided a cross-reference for Imperial Korean customs, not to mention the archane dialog. After YC, another period drama, starring the actor from EWG, aired but I was too exhausted to follow it. Following that was Dae Janggeum for which I found the energy and interest to follow ('course now with this kbc msg board, the viewing experience is further enhanced ;D). I would heartily recommend anyone to watch Jang Hee-Bin. You guyz don't know how LUCKY you are to have kbc air it!!! I would fly to Chicago to as much as catch the last few episodes of the series! Even if you don't understand it at all, just watch it for the costumes, pomp, ceremony, and circumstance--characteristics that we have ALL come to love of period K-drama a la Dae Janggeum. Perchance, you might even get the gist of the narrative.
