Actors returning in the upcoming Lee Bangwon drama who also played in Jeong Dojeon(2014)
Kim Myeongsu - King Gongmin in Jeong Dojeon(2014) -> King Jeongjong(Lee Seonggye's 2nd son)
Jo Sunchang - Lee Sukbeon in Jeong Dojeon(2014) -> Lee Banggan(Lee Seonggye's 4th son)
Lee Gwanggi - Ha Ryun in Jeong Dojeon(2014) -> Jeong Dojeon
Seon Donghyeok - Lee Jiran in Jeong Dojeon(2014) -> Lee Jiran (reprising)
Nam Seongjin - King Gongyang in Jeong Dojeon(2014) -> Ha Ryun
Park Yuseung - Shim Hyoseng in Jeong Dojeon(2014) -> Yun Sojong
Song Yongtae - Bae Geukryum in Jeong Dojeon(2014) -> Choi Young
Actors above that are switching side from their previous roles :
Kim Myeongsu is going from Goryeo king to Joseon's king
Lee Gwanggi is going from Lee Bangwon's advisor to Lee Bangwon's enemy
Nam Seongjin is going form Goryeo's last king to Lee Bangwon's advisor
Song Yongtae is going from Lee Seonggye's trusted general to Lee Seonggye's enemy
The drama won't cover Lee Inyim's story because this drama only consists of 36 episodes. There wouldn't be enough time to cover the Lee Inyim era which was already covered extensively in Jeong Dojeon.
I'm guessing it will start with the Wihwado Retreat like Tears of Dragon(1996).
Because Ahn Jaemon didn't come back to play Lee Bangwon again, I'm hoping he would come back as main character in the next KBS traditional historical, if they're planning to film another traditional after this drama that is.
King Jeongjo and Empereror Hyeonjong(Goryeo) were two other options that KBS had in mind before ultimately deciding to make yet another late Goryeo/early Joseon era historical. I'd like to see Ahn Jaemo play Hyeonjong if KBS decides to make the Emperor Hyeonjong drama. Don't personally think he would be good as King Jeongjo if they decide to make a King Jeongjo drama though.
