It's been 4 years since Kim Nam Gil made a TV drama, so I was intrigue about this one even though I am not really into time travel theme drama. What can I say... Kim Nam Gil is doing a good job portraying his character as a doctor from Joseon era who ended up traveling in modern time. There were times where he look like a drug addict or mentally ill person with his funny facial expressions but I honestly think he's one of those actors who made me feel for his character, his reaction after getting into different place and time is just really good.
I still haven't seen much from Kim Ah-joong but... I find her character a bit cliche, although she's really pretty.
It's interesting to see these two doctors from different era will react seeing the difference between their medical style, especially if both of them will be able to go back and forth in time.
I am curious on how they are related to each other, I just hope this drama won't end up being completely about their love story.

I am really getting hooked into this series. The first 3 episodes really cracked me up and with the 4th episode, I am so thrilled. Although I still see some plot holes or cliche scenes like how the other body guard didn't start fighting until the end and only did after the two main lead left... he should've started fighting early on if he's that strong - also why are those servants stronger than a noble's body guard? And they even have that much free time to be loitering around huh.
Heo Im makes me wonder about what's really going on his mind and what is he planning to do now that he started to like the modern world compared to Joseon and started to have his own ambition.
I just hope the story will stay as interesting as this.

I think DF and Viki didn't get licensed to broadcast this show so...I only get to watch it in Dramaload and KissAsian.

I know that I shouldn't think of anything realistic in this kind of dramas but sometimes I couldn't help but think of those things in time-travel themed drama. Example... no one ever seems to think that they stink! Obviously their smell would be different from ours, right? And not only that but after time traveling, they usually don't take a bath for days nor do they brush their teeth and yet no one seems to comment on it lol

This one is super disappointing. It started off really interesting but ended up being nothing but a story for shippers. There's not even a tiny bit of depth in the story and the writers ignored the rest of the characters just to give way to what most fans are craving for "skin-ship" and more into those sweet moments. Definitely not something I will expect from KNG (since he often choose projects with deep stories) 4/10 I would've rate it lower than 4 but the first 4 episodes were fun to watch so.

That's pretty interesting. Kim was the guy in Queen Seonduk whose character got caught up in what apparently was a stampede of shippers. (It didn't start out that way but that was what it turned into.) I thought QSD was extremely disappointing story-wise, but it was wildly popular. Maybe the producers were trying to re-create that.
Anyway thanks for the comments on it. Always good to have some member reaction to these shows for the benefit of anybody else who might consider watching them in the future.

Yep... the one who acted as Bidam in QSD. This is his drama come back after taking a hiatus from TV series...anyways I am utterly disappointed with this one. Really sad that this drama got ruined because of those fan-service thingy-- I can't really help but think this actor need to get married, to stop everyone who will watch his series from overly shipping him with his co-stars and ruin the story, but if it didn't got ruined and it was exactly what the writer wanted to write then that will be even more disappointing. Although because of it I am now re-watching QSD again! lol I guess I miss those Korean historical dramas that wasn't mixed with fantasy...I cannot think of any new good series, I just finished watching Empress Ki not too long ago *sigh* I had a high expectation with this one but got really disappointed, out of all the dramas I watched this one is the most disappointing for me.

Yeah things are pretty bleak for those of us who enjoy the historicals. These things tend to go through cycles so I'd bet that down the road sometime we'll get some new ones...but I just wish these networks would loosen up their grips on their archives and make more of the past historicals available so we'd have more choices of things to watch for now. Was hoping we'd get some on their new Kocowa website but so far that thing seems to be managed about as well as the U.S. soccer team.
